Brilliant hotel in Chester, close to main areas and the river walks. Lovely room & bathroom with a good shower. All the staff were super friendly and efficient. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Highly recommended!

The hotel and room were very good but the service was poor. Upon arrival we were left waiting to check in as 3 members of staff were chatting. Last night my fiancé and I returned from a wake we had been to and went to the hotel bar around 8.30pm. The tall thin young gentleman on the bar was so rude. As he approached us he looked at me and said “yes”. Not how are you, good evening, what would you like or even yes please. Upon ordering he dropped the payment machine in the bar, I tapped it and he picked it up without a please or thank you. This followed 5 minutes later when we ordered a bar snack of chips and bread. He brought the food out with no cutlery, no napkins and the garlic and rosemary mayo never appeared. We have stayed at your hotel before and enjoy the location but the service this time was poor. We only stayed one night so didn't really use amenities but the room was amazing with everything we needed and was immaculate, the staff were lovely and very helpful and the location was spot on for everything, would definitely return and recommend

Generally speaking, everything was excellent. My only criticism would be the weight of the duvet in our bedroom which was extremely heavy and we also found the mattress to be quite hard. Fully appreciate that these aspects do come down to personal choice however neither of us got a particularly good nights sleepand that is my reason for giving comfort only three stars.

Room was nice no view, bed very high and small for a king size. Free stuff in mini bar very nice and decor. Staff friendly and informative. Bar expensive and breakfast chaotic and had to ask for stuff to be refilled and for coffee and tea as it didn’t arrive. Also some Menu choices unavailable as now food deliveries.

Lovely hotel. Great ambience and decor in all areas. Rooms, clean, nicely decorated and well equipped.I specifically appreciated the little bottle of fresh milk jn the mini bar. Lovely comfortable bed. Great shower. Staff really friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a good location for central Chester shops, sights etc. We would happily stay here again.

Great weekend break. Ideally located for all the shops and local attractions like the amphitheatre and The Rows. Staff very friendly and room was comfortable. Great walk in shower in the bathroom. Lovely breakfast in the morning with plenty of choice. Never had t wait to be seen to a table and service was top notch.

Stayed in Chester for the weekend to watch our children take part in the marathon. Hotel is in a great location right next to a lovely park & near all the shops and sights. Bed was so comfy and the shower was amazing! They catered well for gluten free at breakfast although a gf sausage would have been nice (they are so readily available these days) The bacon etc was "help yourself" but people were using the same tongues to pick them out as the hash browns which weren't gf. Please be mindful of cross contamination. I just used my fork and it was all delicious. We hired a mobility scooter from Shopmobility and it had been delivered to the hotel before we arrived - so efficent and the lady on reception was really friendly & helpful throughout the stay. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely recommend the Hotel Indigo

A poor experience. I was with colleagues working in chester so we tried to book a table in the restaurant at 7.30pm and was told ‘we can’t take any more bookings because we don’t have enough staff - its like this all the time and you should complain’. There were very few tables occupied??? In additionI left a beard trimmer, a jumper (inexpensive M&S approx £40) and a T-shirt (expensive Acne Studio approx £150) in my room. When i got home and realised, i rang the hotel who asked me where i had left things - i was very explicit and said ‘beard trimmer in bathroom next to sink, and items of clothing in wardrobe’. Reception said they would check with housekeeping. They called back and said nothing was left in the room and said perhaps housekeeping hadn’t seen the items or didn’t look in the bathroom or wardrobe. Not sure what they meant by this, because i would expect housekeeping to get the room ready for the next guest which typically means cleaning it and checking nothing has been left in the room. Very poor service. The staff in the restaurant actually asked me to make a formal complaint. The last time I left an item in a hotel (i travel for work a lot) the hotel contacted me amd then said they would ship the item to my home address - thats service.

Great hotel, great location, friendly helpful staff. Accommodated an early check in for us to get ready before the races. Rooms were lovely and clean and the bed and bedding was the comfiest ever. We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children under 10) for a 3 day visit to Chester and loved this hotel. The room was beautifully decorated with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. There was a range of options for breakfast, including both continental and cooked choices, that were all delicious and served by friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is ideally located close to several attractions, including the Paddington Bear bench, Grosvenor park and the Roman amphitheatre. Pro-tip - if you have a blue badge for disabled parking, avoid using the Pepper St car park (read reviews to see why. Instead, there is one disable spot right outside the hotel that can be used, or on Foregate St that allows indefinite parking.

What a beautiful hotel! The style of the room ( I was in the Horse Racing style room) was amazingly done, modern but with traditional features, the bathroom was absolutely gorgeous! Very chic! Will definitely return again. The staff were amazing from check in to requests, nothing was too much trouble. The smell of the lobby was devine. Breakfast was delicious with great choice and a wonderfully friendly waiter. Lovely stay thank you!

Hotel itself is beautiful and we had a very comfortable stay - however there is no on-site parking and we had a somewhat concerning experience at breakfast when a waiter advised there were no peanuts on the buffet, despite there being both peanut butter and crunchy nut cornflakes...

Stayed with my husband for a 2 day break in Chester ( this hotel was recommended by our son who stayed there a few weeks ago )As soon as we walked in were very nicely greeted . We were early so were offered to leave our case which we did .The last hotel we stayed at , we had to sit in our car until check in . The room was lovely and comfortable . Bathroom really nice . We had a few drinks in the bar and the bar staff were really nice . Made cocktails for me which weren’t listed . In all everyone was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Would definitely stay there again .
