Really lovely room, wasn’t sure why drinks in the fridge but no water and if they were complimentary? Water x 2 bottles would be a good choice Ate at the Forge - ribs looked delicious - sharing steak not the best - veg delicious ! Main issue only flavoured expensive vodka - Finlanda isn’t my choice of vodka and although checked there was no plain vodka in grey goose or absolute and no spiced or dark rum either ? Bed was super high but comfy and toiletries are very luxurious

Perfect Room for a Special Occasion The room was perfectly clean and ideal for a special occasion. Slippers and a dressing gown were provided, along with lovely, beautifully scented toiletries. The wardrobe was spacious and easily accommodated all our belongings for the weekend. We stayed in a Deluxe Room with a King Size Bed and balcony, which was perfect for sitting outside in the crisp January weather with a nice cup of tea. The beds were very comfortable, and breakfast offered a great variety of choices. Highly recommend — we would definitely stay again.

The hotel overall was very nice and stylish. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The Breakfast was delicious and the Steak was superb but very pricy for the amount received. It cost just short of £100 as a sharing meal for 2 which included 2 sides but the sides portions were only enough for one person. The room was great, comfy bed and pillows, hair dryer, ironing board & iron, great shower pressure but a few areas needed a deeper clean such as the shower shelf and screen. The mirror also had dirty makeup finger marks on it. This is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5 plus the room was quite cold even though we adjusted the thermostat.

Room was dusty and the heating kept switching off. The bathroom had a leak from the toilet and noise from both taps which were reported but not fixed. Our room wasn’t ready and we waited in the bar area for about an hour with a free drink.

Good clean hotel with friendly staff, ideally placed for city centre. Comfortable modern room and bathroom, and nice little touches such as complementary soft drinks in fridge, and popcorn to nibble on. Would definitely recommend and return.

The hotel and room were very good but the service was poor. Upon arrival we were left waiting to check in as 3 members of staff were chatting. Last night my fiancé and I returned from a wake we had been to and went to the hotel bar around 8.30pm. The tall thin young gentleman on the bar was so rude. As he approached us he looked at me and said “yes”. Not how are you, good evening, what would you like or even yes please. Upon ordering he dropped the payment machine in the bar, I tapped it and he picked it up without a please or thank you. This followed 5 minutes later when we ordered a bar snack of chips and bread. He brought the food out with no cutlery, no napkins and the garlic and rosemary mayo never appeared. We have stayed at your hotel before and enjoy the location but the service this time was poor. Generally speaking, everything was excellent. My only criticism would be the weight of the duvet in our bedroom which was extremely heavy and we also found the mattress to be quite hard. Fully appreciate that these aspects do come down to personal choice however neither of us got a particularly good nights sleepand that is my reason for giving comfort only three stars.

Room was nice no view, bed very high and small for a king size. Free stuff in mini bar very nice and decor. Staff friendly and informative. Bar expensive and breakfast chaotic and had to ask for stuff to be refilled and for coffee and tea as it didn’t arrive. Also some Menu choices unavailable as now food deliveries.

Lovely hotel. Great ambience and decor in all areas. Rooms, clean, nicely decorated and well equipped.I specifically appreciated the little bottle of fresh milk jn the mini bar. Lovely comfortable bed. Great shower. Staff really friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a good location for central Chester shops, sights etc. We would happily stay here again.
