Lovely break away celebrating our Anniversary

Clean, cosy, homely and comfortable. The staff were attentive and great. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and served fast! Will definitely return

Could hear other guests coming in in the early hours of the morning but I understand that is no fault of the hotel. Maybe they could just ask guests to be quiet if returning late.

A good quality experience, within reasonable walking distance of Chester centre (about 20 minutes).

Friendly service. Excellent breakfast. The coffee and omelettes were excellent. We were both on a keto diet (minimal carbs) so couldn't fully explore the breakfast options, which was a shame as we rather fancied being able to order some toast! Next time! The Stone Villa was chosen as it was within 20 minutes or so walking of the centre of Chester with plenty of car parking spaces. We found this to be a better quality hotel than others we have stayed in on and around Hoole Road. We will be returning.

Lovely friendly hotel.

We were met by a friendly receptionist who showed us to our room. The room was spacious and well presented. Smelt very fresh and clean. The bathroom was spotless and modern. Location was good, approximately 20 minutes walk to the centre of chester, but good local amenities in the next road. The breakfast choice was excellent and freshly cooked. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. Added bonus of an onsite free car park.

The only negative I have is that the room was cold, the heating was set to a timer but due to the cold damp weather outside this needs to be looked into.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing break.

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. Lovely bathroom and shower. We were made very welcome and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent choice of breakfast options. Shops pubs and restaurants were just round the corner.

Overall, an OK stay with some issues

On the positive side, the location is excellent. Hoole village is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of lovely bars and restaurants. It’s also a pleasant and easy walk along the canal into Chester city centre, taking around 20 minutes, which was a definite highlight of the stay. The ample car parking at the front of the property was a bonus.

Our stay at Stone Villas Chester was generally fine, but there were a few issues that affected the experience. On arrival, the bathroom bin had not been emptied from the previous guests, and the bathroom water glasses were filthy and unusable. Additionally, the bed was not made after the first night of our two-night stay. Breakfast, while very tasty when it arrived, consistently took around 30–45 minutes each morning after ordering, which was longer than expected.

Very comfortable room, breakfast excellent.

Break fast was excellent, service was warm and welcoming.

On arrival, we were taken to our room by the young lady on reception however there was a painter , painting the walls in our room, which was disappointing, therefore my husband and I left the premises to get some refreshments to give time for the young lady and the painter to come to a decision on how they were going to handle the problem. On our return 4 hours later the room was ready, I was disappointed that Stone Villa did not try to contact us in them four hours to let us know when the room was ready.

Exceptional

The hotel was first class from start to finish. The room was superb everything you would need and a super comfy bed. Staff and manager were exceptional and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast first class and will 100% stop here again. 20 mins walk or £6.70 in an Uber into the City.

An absolute hidden gem. A beautiful clean and friendly hotel. Only stayed one night, breakfast was amazing, rooms were spacious and spotless clean. The staff were all friendly and always smiling. Would recommend this little gem and hope to be back soon

Very clean...the bathroom was lovely...very stylish with a very powerful shower..staff very friendly, extremely clean... Very welcoming. Breakfast was good when it arrived , despite being different from what we'd ordered, twice.

The room was smaller than we expected but very comfortable all the same. Breakfast order was wrong on both days of our stay...slow service for how many were in there ..... Would have been nice to have a proper smoking area other than standing outside with no cover.

Idyllic and enjoyable.

Very nice room, and we were upgraded for free on arrival. Superb breakfast. We enjoyed the hotel and Chester so much, we decided to stay another night. The hotel staff were very accommodating when we arrived late on the second night!

Really good, small hotel, great staff and a decent location.

Amy welcomed us to the hotel, and all the staff were helpful, efficient and happy. Breakfasts were really lovely, lots of choice, and plentiful. The coffee machine in the room was a nice touch, as was fresh milk in the fridge (fresh every day, too).

We had a problem with the radiator (couldn’t turn it down), but that wasn’t a huge problem, we just opened the window! The lovely Amy was on it straight away, and while it couldn’t be rectified while we were there, I’m sure it will be.

Great hotel at a good price.

Everything was great, we were allowed to park our car at 11:00 am even though check in wasn’t until 1:00. This saved us from finding a parking space elsewhere for 2 hours. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was brilliant with a great selection of food. The only very minor criticism was that the dining room was a little bit cold, this was hard for the staff to control as guests were coming and going through the main entrance.

Room was clean. Breakfast quality was good. Nice choice and well presented.

No lounge, no bar to meet with friends. Staff were friendly initially but a lot of confusion at breakfast with our order ( the waitress did not write anything down, hence the confusion and mistakes ) Staff complained because we came down for breakfast earlier than they expected us, even though I left a note the following evening as no staff around to communicate with. Made to feel unwelcome and inconvenient for them. When confronted, waitress/receptionist stated she was busier than she'd like to be and she had another hotel to manage. Why should that impact me??

Property was nicely located away from the City but close enough to walk with adjacent road great for eating and drinking. Staff were fabulous and food was spot on.

Bathroom was too small for an executive king room in a 5 star and also the lack of a bar.
