Top quality stay in the heart of Chester.

We got a free executive upgrade on arrival with lots of free goodies in the room. The place is still like brand new, amazing bathroom and all facilities are too notch. Breakfast was great except no marmalade! 😄

It worked for a couple of nights due to great location but uncomfortable bed.

Close to Everthing we needed great to have a proper double bed plus single that is not a rollaway or a sofa bed.

Cupswere dirty on arrival, sloppy room clean. Not the most comfortable bed. Couldn’t open the window due to secondary glazing solution.

Nice rooms and great location

Hard to get the temperature correct-room felt warm all night and it was hard to sleep. Info in room could’ve been clearer about breakfast time. The breakfast buffet was a bit hectic and not that enjoyable

As soon as you walk in it smells gorgeous and clean. It’s all presented really lovely, the room was perfect, spacious and clean. The staff were all friendly and the breakfast was very delicious.

A very comfortable hotel in an excellent location.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The staff on reception were very helpful and the housekeeping staff were also very accommodating. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had lots of room and was clean and functional.

We had problems in one of the car parks the hotel recommends - the Pepper Street car park - and would strongly suggest they stop recommending it.

Nice hotel but wouldn’t book the same room

Smelt lovely each time we entered through the main reception, room was nice and clean, reception staff really friendly and helpful, the mini bar in the bedroom was lovely and the little touch of note left by reception was nice.

The disabled entrance not the best design, had to wait to be let in door not automatic, other customers had to open the door from the inside, as only one person on reception managing check in, the corridors are quite narrow and lift very small only fit myself in the wheelchair and partner in, no walk in shower for the price paid we wasn’t wowed.

Lovely start to the Christmas festivities.

Location is fantastic both for the town and walking the walls. The rooms are quiet and comfortable with quality bedding. Bathroom was well equipped and roomy.

There were no scrambled eggs at breakfast (although I think you could have requested them) and the bread selection could have been nicer - muffins were rock hard and the white bread was just processed stuff.

It's a nice and clean hotel, centrally located - no parking - 2 carparks nearby for a fee.

Breakfast could be better. Location is very central.

At least one more chair should be in the room - 3 people and only one chair and one more suitcase holder would be nice. The wardrobe is very small. The shower gel holder was poorly fixed to the wall and fell off, luckily not hurting anyone. We reported it to the reception and they apologised saying would fix it.

Beautiful hotel

Rooms gorgeous, and massive, shower pressure are amazing! Bed so comfy. All so good. Breakfast beautiful 😍. Staff friendly, helpful and feel welcome. Theres are accessibility, superb. Local Town and shopping and christmas market. Very nice.

Disappointing on the cleanliness of room and breakfast

The bathroom wasn’t clean. Black mould on the bottom of taps. Dirty mug and water still left in kettle. Went to the bar and sat for twenty mins and no one came to serve us. Breakfast was ok, not very appealing.

No hot water had to boil kettle for shave. 2nd night headboard light was flashing only way to switch off was to remove room card from slot near door so with no electricity had to use phone torch to use bathroom. 1st day despite going to breakfast an hour before end time not a lot of food and drink available. No orange juice no americano just milk came out. No mushrooms, sausage , fried eggs, pastries .

Very comfortable accommodations in the heart of Chester

Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. It is half a block from city center. The staff were amazing, even letting us check in early. The rooms are big and comfortable with all the amenities. Downstairs has a nice restaurant if you don't want to go out. The beds are comfortable, and everything felt modern. It was a great break from the quaint but uncomfortable older inns.

Don't let the outside fool you. Even if it looks dated, the inside feels quite modern!

Hotel 4 day stay

Friendly staff, central location near restaurants, bars and shops. Good evening meal, reasonably priced, drinks expensive though.

Breakfast, mostly good but lack of choice for continental breakfast- one choice of cold meat, one cheese and no crusty French style bread. Great coffee for me, no decent decaff for wife, only sachets of coffee - poor these days when good ground decaff can be in the machines too.
