Room was lovely, nice view of the garden.
Food delicious.
We were supposed to check in at 3pm but the room wasn't ready until 4.15pm.

The interior decor of the bar and restaurant and the modern design of the hotel.
The property was well designed and I liked it all.

Our weekend was ruined ! We came to spend time with our granddaughter, they came from Norwich. To find children are discriminated from using the pool. That was the very reason we booked this hotel. When dealing with a member of staff on the deck at the spa/ poor .. I found her soo rude/ unpleasant.
To find my granddaughter wasn’t allowed in , I asked could I use it , she told me to come back at 8 am to see if there was a slot ..
she behaved as if she was god .
My daughter felt unwell and didn’t want breakfast, which i paid extra for on arrival… I asked the next day did the hotel refund this as only 2 of us from room 18 had breakfast.. which would have been noted . No we were told .. find this disgusting. All of which our stay was a waste of a journey for my family.
1 hour slots for children to use the swing pool . And an extra charge for using it as a hotel guest is absolutely shocking.

The staff were all so friendly, food was amazing, they were above and beyond for my partners birthday
The spa could do with more seating area

Reception staff very friendly.
The room's temperature was uncomfortably high due to a malfunctioning air conditioning unit. Additionally, proximity to noisy pipes resulted in disturbances throughout the night. The bar staff engaged in conversation and did not proactively inquire about patrons' service needs.
The spa facilities, previously included with the room rate, are now subject to a separate charge and require pre-booking for a two-hour slot on a first-come, first-served basis.

It looked beautiful from the outside.
You have to pay extra to us the facilities e.g £20 per person for 2 hrs and you have to book in advance if you want to use the pool.

Spa was really good. Very modern
Arrived at the property New Year’s Day. Never stayed here before. Only booked it for the spa for my partner. Had no idea spa needed to be booked in advance as I hadn’t been informed. Greeted by a not so friendly member of staff at the spa reception who basically told us so many words that there was no chance of a spa that night. Restaurant was empty in the night yet staff decided to bunch us all together on tables for 2. 3 couples basically sitting on top of each other in an empty restaurant. Food was really nice tho. Next morning arrived for breakfast behind a queue of people. Everyone infront of me seemed to get a warm welcome from an older lady. Wished a happy new year etc. When she got to me she just snarled and pointed to a seat.

The room is newly renovated, the bed is soo comfy! Lovely and dark and quiet too. The room service room was delicious and really friendly staff. Great bath! I had a very relaxed time.
Only one thing I could suggest is to allow Netflix on the tele!

Nice location, very close to the zoo. Was very clean.
Staff were rude to my partner, we felt like some staff gave the impression that we shouldn’t be there. Not sure if this is because we were a young couple or maybe because we looked like we couldn’t afford to be in a 4 star hotel. This was the most disappointing part and really put a downer on our stay. Room service was awful, the pizzas were overpriced and terrible quality for what we paid.

Location is great.
Room was very poorly maintained, and the cleaning services are woefully neglectful. Hairs in the bed, and other unmentionable things laying around. In the room we found the cupboard door hanging off when we checked in. Surely a cleaner would see that?
The WiFi was unacceptably poor in today’s day and age. Not worth bothering with in the end. But perhaps the worst thing, during what was quite a cold weekend, was the extraordinarily noisy heating system. It was too loud to allow sleep.

Lovely location nice big bedroom breakfast was lovely as was the meals we had delivered to our room.
Bit annoying that u need to pay £20 to use the pool never been to a hotel before where its not included in the stay , I did pay it for the evening but didnt think it was worth it
Bed was also not very comfortable.

Friendly helpful staff, resolved all of our issues and queries during our stay. The bed was big and comfortable. Plenty of space in the room, all the necessities provided. Location is amazing for visiting Chester Zoo and town centre.
We could hear people in other rooms. There were also sounds coming from the bathroom sink.

Only thing I didn’t like how you had to pay extra £20 per person for the spa. And children couldn’t use the pool.

I have stayed at the hotel many times previously but this experience was extremely disappointing.
The first room I checked into had not been cleaned properly. There was a half-eaten sandwich in the bin and wet towels left in the bathroom.
The second room I checked into had faulty lighting. The key card wouldn't keep the lights on when inserted.
The third room was fine and the staff were very apologetic. But it's not what I expect.

Location, parking
Use of spa and pool would cost me an additional £20 on top of the £187 I'd already paid for one nights stay!
£13 cocktails...ask the young bartender to make the amaretto sour- you get a good sip at most for £13..!!
Check in is too late at 3pm. Please try to achieve 2pm latest so that guests have time to arrive and make the most of the room before heading out for the evening. For £187 a night I'd have expected more flexibility.

Bed very comfortable, room spacious and quiet.
Room cleaning/tidying was a bit random as on one evening we returned to the hotel to find the room was left untouched and required a visit to reception to complain. Clean towels, cups, tea and coffee were refreshed. Not great when returning to the hotel when tired after a long day out with the family.!

Location, quiet, good standard of accommodation
The clearing up process at breakfast could do with refining. I travel alone and when I finish eating at the table and go back to the buffet for something else, the staff are clearing away my juice, my half drunk cup of coffee, etc. so when I return I have to refill again. I'm only gone 2 mins as well. It would be helpful for staff to wait 10 mins before cleaning up or have a sign on the table that says it's still in use so staff know not to tidy up. Just a small bug bear of mine and it's happened on previous occasions when I've travelled alone there.

All good.
I was woken up by other guests. I believe they attended a wedding reception. Maybe next time you might consider not mixing with other guests who have come for relaxation.

The hotel is very coveniently situated close to the M53 in a lovely quiet location. Our room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. We found the staff exceedingly helpful. we would stay here again.
There was only a 4tog duvet on the bed with no extra blankets in the room. Not enough on a chilly autumnal night. Not a fan of self service breakfasts especially when a huge wedding party had taken over the dining room.
