Perfect location & very comfortable stay.
Bathroom tiny and didn’t shower but nothing to complain about.

The owner and the lady who cleans were so friendly. They organised for me to have a twin room instead of a double. The cleaning lady made sure we had enough supplies, she was so accommodating. I loved the location.
I actually loved the property. For the money it was good value, a little dated but was very clean which was all that bothers me. The 2nd night we stayed, we had some selfish people regarding noise and setting off the fire alarm but you could get that at any hotel. The owner was quick to sort it out.

Good location, not far from centre
Bed was quite uncomfortable, and bathroom door didn’t shut

It's cheap. Convenient for the railway station. Nothing else positive.
Rooms don't seem to have been refurbished in 30 years. Stained bedding and carpets. Strong smell of old cigarette smoke throughout. I didn't have high expectations, but it's not great when there is visible hair on everything.

The bathroom was a little small but we only stayed one night it was fine for us.
Would stay again for good location and value for money

Great location for The Live Room concert and a great real ale pub across the road. Not fancy but clean and value for money and plenty of carparks near by and easy to walk into the centre.
The water was cool in the shower and kept going cold.

The receptionist was great, he was upbeat, friendly showed me to my room and how to use the key for my room, where to come in when reception was closed and where to leave keys on check out.
The room faced a busy road but I was only there for one night and it was convenient for the train station so not a problem

The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Tea making facilities and an iron and ironing board were provided. There were two chairs in the room which is handy as I don't like sitting on the bed to have a drink. The TV was good. Easy walk into the city centre. The friendly host, very kindly, gave us access to our room much earlier than check-in and he moved his own car so that we could park ours. Wifi access is good, but don't forget to ask the host for the password which is usually, though not always, on the key fob.
To be fair, this is a low budget, room only, accommodation and our expectations were low. Well-known, budget, hotel chains in the area charge almost double. There was no paperwork in the room so we could only access the terrestrial channels on the TV and we didn't have Wifi access until we could track the host down in the morning. The bathroom was tiny and reminded me of a caravan cubicle. Everything worked, though the shower was only luke warm. A large person or somebody with mobility issues wouldn't cope. The property is located on a busy road near the railway station so it wasn't quiet and the fact that there wasn't double glazing made the room quite noisy, particularly as our room overlooked the road. From the outside, and generally, the property has a very run-down appearance. Breakfast is not provided, though the well-appointed Railway Station cafe across the road serves that purpose.

It was close to the city centre
Very dated and shabby, toilet was dirty, step going up to bathroom very dangerous as my partner fell coming out, on the stairs going to room carpet was worn and old, the place it’s self was just a mess and could do with some renovation and maybe just a lick of paint, no parking had to ask the car wash over the road if I could park there I gave them £10 and they were decent enough to oblige

Great price. Good location. Comfy bed.
Bathroom is very small - like on an aeroplane. Bathroom door very tricky to open so ended up having to leave the door open when I was using the bathroom.

The exterior was quite nice.
The room was clean
I am afraid there were many things I did not like:
- No lifts, which was a problem for my guest
- Stairs are very narrow and steep
- I was told that, since I had "no notes", they just booked a room upstairs with no lift, otherwise we would have had to walk back out across the street
- My guest described the bathroom as a 'fish can' - it was very small
- It was too expensive for what it was worth
- The lighting in the bedroom felt cheap
- I don't think the beds were long enough.
So sorry to have to share this feedback. However, I hope you will take this into consideration.
Thank you.

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff.
No bathroom- the room had a shower room with a toilet and a sink in it but it was very small. A bigger person would need to use the toilet with the door open. Also, very hot and no option to turn the radiators off. The window did open but there was no lock and the room was easily accessible from the outside though it so couldn't have it opened all night. Good enough for 1 night stay.

I love how the hotel staff were really nice and welcoming and that there was loads of stuff to explore next to the hotel
It was the last day from when leaving and someone was running their car and just sitting in it, we were on bottom floor and the engine fumes came directly through the window not sure if it was the owners car or not but just didn't like the way they were not moving and just didn't move the car or anything just sat in it

Superb location just a 15 minute walk from Chester centre. Lots of local shops though, for food, takeaways etc if you don't want to go into the city.
Lovely host. Very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to book in early (arranged in advance) as we were going to a gig.
Room comfortable and heating was on. Room had an iron, ironing board, kettle and tea, sugar, milk etc.
Bed comfortable and sheets clean.
Parking just a few minutes walk away. £10 for 24 hours. We paid more as we booked parking via app in advance.
No plug in sink or handwash (was empty)

Location is good, no parking included.. but very close to the train station, £10 for 24 hours, we paid £75 for a Saturday night, which isn't bad, but certainly not worth any more.
Hotel is certainly in need of a good clean, outside the building, and definitely inside, room was a decent size, but probably the smallest bathroom ever, which was not very clean at all... Room 46, so for that, I wouldn't recommend stopping here.

Superb bed. Good firm pillows, increasingly a rarity in hotels. Best sleep I've had in a hotel for years. Cosy homely room. Friendly staff. Very glad I booked.

The owner was amicable and helpful man. The room was clean enough and had shower room.
Only tiny issue is that one of the milks was stale. Also the check out time says 10.30, but a lady came in our room at 10.00. Bit confusing
