Great stay in Chester

The rooms are lovely and check in quick/easy. Spotlessly clean, big TV and comfy bed. Couldn't have asked for more, especially for the price!

Not the hotels fault but was a few people making a lot of noise outside the rooms and the sound seems to travel. This wasn't for long and managed to get back to sleep afterwards!

This place was great value for money as the location was near the train station, but only a 15 minute walk into town. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the host was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Great base, great price

Very handy for the music venue, Live Rooms, the railway station and the town. The price paid does not reflect the quality of the accommodation, I would highly recommend.

Super stay - super place

We really liked The Ormonde Guesthouse. Checking in was swift and professional. The rooms were exceptional for the price - extremely tidy and clean and with all facilities including very nice towels. The location was also very good - just a short walk from the city centre.

In a perfect world the bathrooms would have been larger but we think they were acceptable for a short stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and tidy and provided the perfect space for my overnight stay.

There is no lift so can be difficult with a large suitcase like mine however, the staff were very helpful and offered to carry my suitcase up and down the stairs on arrival/departure.

Very clean, lovely staff and great location. The hotel rooms are small but very clean, bathroom was spotless. Beds very comfortable. You cannot fault the location for the price. Very helpful staff

Went to gig at the live rooms which is about 30 yards round corner so ideal spot for us

Excellent value

The room was warm, clean and well equipped. Bathroom was done nicely, with a good sized shower too. Staff were friendly and helpful. For the price I paid for the room, I was very happy. Definitely better than most chain budget hotels.

Everything was great, the only thing that would've made my stay better was softer pillows - the ones on the bed were very thick and firm.

There was a flashing light from the shop opposite that even with the blind flashed on and off in the room. The room was quite stuffy and the bed was very firm and a bit uncomfortable.

Everything a budget hotel should be. Cozy at it's best.

Host was very accommodating and moved me from a front (street) room to a back room. Yes, the room is very small but it's clean, quiet and warm. I had a single bed and I slept well for two nights. No breakfast BUT a 4 minute stroll to Moki Coffee - locally owned, strong coffee and the best prices. Chester was a quick stop for two nights, mainly because it was on my train route, but an absolutely wonderful city to visit. The hotel location meant easy "in" and "out" for me, I wheeled my case to and from the station. For the price I was very, very, happy. Oh, I did have a kettle and various teas - I made some herbal before bed.

Pleasant, convenient, well worth the money and an experience to repeat some time in the future.

My son and I were very impressed by how amenable the staff were to our request to leave our luggage at the hotel long before official check in time. Moreover, when we did arrive our rooms were ready so we were able to check in immediately. The rooms were comfortable with all the amenities we needed. We would certainly recommend the hotel as well as re-book if the necessity arose.

Neighborhood isn’t the cutesy typical Chester street but as a solo female traveller, I felt very safe. Some noise from highway overpass at night and lights from food establishments—but there are block out shades for light.
