Lovely old building. Amazing staff. Great location for exploring Chester.

Some of the furniture is a bit old and some areas could do with a lick of paint and some new carpet. But this didn’t bother us at all.

Every one in hotel complained about having no hot water or heating but it didn’t get resolved

We had no hot water or heating in the room the window didn’t close as a panel of glass was missing it was freezing and very uncomfortable to go into had to stay out the room as long as we could before going back it was against human rights to have no heating or hot water

Great location and very easy check in and value for money.

The heating and hot water packed in but provided a heater and by morning heating was sorted and the water was hot enough to have a wash.

Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel, room was very clean, warm and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and friendly on arrival gave us a coffee while we waited. Price was very reasonable £52.20 for 1 night. Had a great time would definitely recommend.

No food available when we arrived at hotel so had to go out to eat. Would have been nice to be able to sit down and have meal in the evening.

Excellent location for centre of Chester, room was clean and tidy and toasty warm. Staff where very helpful, brought extra pillows and extra milk when required

The shower was very small and the toilet was in a very small space by the shower. Whilst the room had recently been decorated, the carpets especially were tired. Breakfast, although cheap, was poor.

Located right next to busy roads i expected it to take a while for me to fall asleep but the bed was so comfortable that i forgot about the outside noise.

I would have liked for there to be a socket next to both twin beds, maybe between the two.

Excellent location and good value.

The accommodation has recently been refurbished. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. The en suite was nice and clean with a quiet extractor fan and a good shower. The hotel was a short walk from the centre of Chester and the price was excellent.

We chose not to eat in the cafe. The offer was not what we were looking for but there are plenty of options to eat and drink very close by.

enjoyable and very convenient to what we came to Chester to do.

when we arrived the gentleman that was there was very nice, and I had to book a second room at the las minute, and the computer book a room with no bathroom and with no fuss and very helpful found a room that suites better to my family who travel with me. room was clean and comfortable I will stay here again I love the dragon at the front of the hotel.!!!!!!

If I could change something it will be the restaurant as it was not very invited but we found many places to eat around the area.

The room was clean and spacious. I liked the floor lighting near the step a good touch. The room was warm and you could adjust the radiators. The bed was comfortable. The lighting was nice and bright. Within a short walk from the city centre.

Lovely hotel in great central location in Chester

I love this hotel, it's my go to for the frequent stays in Chester I now need to do when travelling between North Wales and Liverpool. My sons love the food and the pool and table football! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are always friendly and helpful :)

The room was comfortable, but tiny. The food was very nice, the staff were great

The room was very small/cramped. The worse thing was not been allowed to stay in the lounge/dining area downstairs after 9/9.30pm. I was travelling on my own + didnt want to walk from another pub or restaurant alone late at night. The buses dont run after 5pm ish - I asked a taxi how much for a 3 minute taxi drive, but it was £20, which is too much. The B+B used to be a pub, but now, it looks like a pub, with dining, soft drinks a games facilities, but doesn't serve alcohol at all + closes at 9/9.30pm. The staff said they are considering staying open until later as a future plan.

This hotel needs some love and money spent on it. Zero atmosphere but great location.

The breakfast was very ordinary, nothing including presentation was appealing.

The room was adequate but behind door in bathroom very dirty. Plus furniture dirty. Door handle from wardrobe inside on the floor of wardrobe. No chair or table in the room , cracked tiles in bathroom. Very tired hotel and very noisy squashed between busy roads on all sides. No fans or air con, tiny window that opens a few inches and lets all the noise in. The pluses are the staff are nice, great easy walk into Chester and car parking.

My double bed had very little room around the bed, too much of a tight squeeze. The location of the hotel, although good for the proximity to Chester town centre, is effectively on a one way street and near a roundabout

The place is very nice, near the city center, with parking and very clean. The staff is fantastic.

The old style of building, the room also if small is very nice e clean. The bed was very comfortable. We ate dinner we had dinner and breakfast and the food was very good. The staff was very kind and welcoming.
