Terrible hotel avoid at all costs

Worst hotel I have ever been to. Hotel only caters for certain types of GERMANS (0.5% of global population) and no one else. 1. Checkin - There was no one to carry bags to room plus no lift that goes up to the second floor. - Had to find room ourselves with no guidance or direction 2. Room - Absolutely terrible outdated room more akin to an attic - It was warm during the weekend, and room had a tiny little window with NO air-conditioning or fans - Shower and toilet are tacky and outdated with getting into the shower being a problem and water from shower goes everywhere - No water or message to say where water in the room was 3. Bar and Staff - Sat in the terrace waiting 15 minutes for someone to serve us - Went up to the bar and tried to order drinks only to be told to sit down and to wait for someone to take order - PoS (Point of Sales) machines were broken down and it took a further 20 minutes to pay - Staff had little understanding of english and did NOTHING to address all the issues we faced This is the worst hotel I have ever been to and would strongly advice going for alternative hotels where you'd be respected as a customer

the people at the reception were not at a 5 star hotel level. the shower water would become very cold at times which did not make the shower time very pleasant, that should be fixed and avoided in such a hotel.

Picturesque Peaceful Stay

Location is lovely, excellent view over the river. Very good Public transport links across river. Underground access provided safe access to wellness area. Staff were very nice and helpful.

The location was beautiful, the breakfast excellent (although not quite up to the same standard as 12 ago).

I had to pay an unexpected surcharge of EUR 80 because the receptionists were not aware that I had reserved two rooms for a total of 4 people altough I could show that Booking had confirmed my reservation as indicated. I therefore expect a refund of the additional payment from the party responsible for the mishap.

I've stayed in many hotels. Louis C. Jacob was by far the best experience.

Where can I begin, truly one of the best hotel experiences I've had. I love the history of the hotel along with the friendly staff who are willing to go well and beyond to help out and the smile that never leaves their faces truly made an everlasting impression. I will definitely be coming again if I ever visit Hamburg next time.

Limited food option, breakfast reduced in quality (e.g. the hazelnut cake or small shrimp sandwiches i loved are gone) With the road splitting the hotel … I felt honestly the hotel was not worth the money (800e for 2 nights !!)

Coming home to Jacobs

Loved the friendly and excellent service loved the view on river Elbe, the comfortable bathtub and the excellent dining loved the family ways. Staying in Jacobs is like staying at home in Hamburg. Thank you!

Breakfast service is extremely poor. Staff needed. Waiting time 5 min to get seated, then 20 min to order Coffee and a small piece of Cheese Recommend taking breakfast outside of Jacobs

Location nice, quite, romantic.

The hotel has no aircondition. I arrived the Hotel at 14.30, the room was not still ready for check in. Breakfast cost if I remember correctly around 40Euro per pax., really not worth.
