A Haven in Hamburg

The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, and the amenities were great. Drinks are reasonably-priced and there is a bus stop nearby

Lovely, cozy & great place

Absolutely loved this place! It has such a fun and cool vibe. The staff are very helpful, kind and welcoming. Our room was very fresh and clean. Loved how close the place is to the bus stop and fairly easy to get into central Hamburg. The bike rental at the hotel is also great. We stayed here for only 2 nights and wish we would've stayed longer, will definitely come back again!

It was quite hot and there's no AC. There was a fan but because of the heat it was just blowing warm air.

The room was spacious and well organized. The room is full of lights and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast selection was amazing!!!

We were on the 3rd floor and the elevator broke down 2 of the 3 days we were there. This was unacceptable for the price we paid.

The location is quite convenient and there were a few supermarkets nearby.

No fridge, no kettle , no cup to make coffee or tea in the room. We stayed with our cat but the room allocated was not pet safe.

Comfortable but quirky.

The room was quite spacious and the bathroom facilities were excellent. The front office staff were very helpful. The breakfast selection looked excellent although I didn't use it during my visit. My doona was too hot during my visit, but the staff provided a lighter alternative on request. Facilities to heat water and to iron were available on request.

The hotel was a little away from major utilities. Unfortunately I was there during a hot spell and my room faced east so heated up during the day. It was possible to open the windows at night but it was quite noisy until the local bar closed around midnight. The lighting was rather subdued in parts of the room.

Really enjoyed the stay at Superbude.

The architect did a great job. We really liked the vibe of the hotel. The staff is polite, the location is good. It is not a closest hotel to the city center, but the metro station is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There is also a market, bakery and pharmacy right next to the hotel. The breakfast can be additionally paid, and it is great. There is a common space to be used, which includes many interesting facilities - a photomat, table tennis, table football, etc. I would always recommend this hotel.

No air conditioning. In the summer it can be very hot. The room lacks a dresser and hanger for clothes and stuff, everything else is amazingly designed.

A bit of style over substance

The design of the hotel is great fun. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The 'honesty' bar means you can go and help yourself to drinks and snacks at any time.

The shower has no temperature control and if someone else on the same floor has a shower at the same time the temperature changes. The room was very hot with no AC and the opening window blocked the access. Some of the trendy lights have no switch - the only way to turn them off is to remove the adapter block. Breakfast was poor with only coffee and bread up to standard.

The atmosphere is convivial. Great for all ages. You are invited to have fun. The service at the reception is outstanding. They assisted me to reorganise my parking arrangements in Kiel. - Kieler Woche - including phone calls, internet and free photo copies.

Great innovative hotel concept with super friendly staff

Super friendly staff, tons of attention to detail (photo booth in the lobby, small secondhand and handmade stall in the entrance, wine you can take from the fridge with trust-bar-concept…), politically engaged, cosy and spacious rooms, clean, well connected in Bahrenfeld and close to Ottensen. Used to live in Hamburg for many years and this hotel really felt like home for a couple of days. Great concept, would definitely recommend and come back!
