A great location and beautifully appointed hotel.

The location was ideal for my business meetings nearby. The room was comfortable and really well laid out which allowed me to rest and work. The Hotel interior overall is fabulous and super interesting. All round a perfect hotel for me.

Not a dislike, but I arrived late due to a delayed flight and missed the kitchen which finishes at 10pm. Maybe offering even a cold sandwich for late night room service would be good.

A stylish and comfortable hotel with lots of character

Beautiful room and a very stylish and unique hotel. our room was super specious and beautiful. the industrial chic was amazing and the Rituals toiletry was a nice surprise that made it feel more pampered. we loved it!

The breakfast was a bit basic for a Vegan person, it would've been nice to find more vegan options.

Very conflicted - spectacular designer, bad hotel operator.

Breathtaking design. Truly one of the most beautiful and cozy pieces of industrial design I’ve seen. I also like the “breakfast until 1pm” policy, although I suppose it’s only on the weekends.

- Super dark rooms, no natural light - No charger socket near bed at all - Found bag of drugs on the ground in hotel parking lot - Reception made us do his job at midnight filling out all kinds of ridiculous forms - Air conditioner so loud it's almost impossible to sleep. Also mostly ineffective. - Almost zero chance to park in the parking lot - Big hole on the left side of the bed made it uncomfortable to sleep - Huge crack on the wall is pretty ugly and shows maintenance issues - One 2dl liter of water in the room. The 4-star standard requires 0.5l x 2 for free, the receptions words “not in this house”.

Lovely hotel. Excellent breakfast worth paying extra payment of€25. Overall the food was excellent very good gluten free option also. lovely staff. I would highly recommend.

Hotel with impressive design

The hotel impresses with its exterior and interior design. The rooms are relatively large. It would probably be interesting to spend more time in the hotel premises. The hotel is relatively easy to reach by public transport S-Bahn and bus, even at night.

The room is poorly ventilated, there is no access of fresh air from outside. The shower has a very weak pressure and strange adjustment. Finally, the mattresses on the bed were very disappointing: I fell into the mattress like in an old bed. Maybe this is to some people's liking, but I definitely do not.

Lovely building, disappointing customer service

The hotel is very nice and a really interesting building. The area it's located in is very nice and close to public transport.

Despite submitting a request to use the spa on the hotel app I never received contact from anyone. I followed up with reception who said they were unable to make a reservation as the spa was managed separately. I went to the spa and there was no one there. I was disappointed that it was difficult to arrange when the spa is located in the hotel. I also tried to order room service but had to down to the restaurant as there was no response.

I’ve been visiting Gastwerk regularly for more than 23 years. it’s a glorious building and architecture beyond.

unfortunately the glorious days seems to be over for Gastwerk. It’s a hotel that is running on autopilot without perfection in the details and the desire to make the guests feel anything special. it’s not longer enough to be a part of Design Hotels…. even the images are the same for 10 years. changes is needed

Very nice space and room. Friendly helpful staff. The only downfall was it seemed far from everything and when I was booking on booking.com I had a filter for breakfast included but I had to pay 24 euros each day per person.

It's definitely not worth the money. Gastwerk has absolutely no charm. Pretty pretentious ! Very expensive for what it delivers.VreKfast is not included! Also had a terrible experience with my taxi-booking ( Sixt )via Booking. com. Impossible to change time and place of pick-up. The actual prize was also more than the double of the normal fare. Couldn't change the taxi booking and they charged me the horrendous prize without my being able to use it. Will never book this service again!!!
