A quaint inn with warm and friendly staff in an amazingly beautiful setting.

Breakfast was delicious. They even served us cooked to order eggs and bacon. Anna was a gracious host. She was very kind and ensured we got a double room instead of an unneeded triple.

Beautiful

We were looking for a quiet not touristy place to stay and this is just a perfect location for that. The hotel is only one minute away from the bus stop and there are many hiking options in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we really liked the breakfast.

We tried the restaurant for dinner and the food was OK but a bit overpriced for what we got.

Location location location - perfect

Wow great location looking out onto the reservoir. Waitress exceptional she had only worked there for two weeks but she knew all there was to know and couldn’t help you enough. Such a warm welcome. Room comfortable, we ate in the restaurant which was fabulous food. Breakfast lovely with a good choice. A walk around the reservoir highly recommend.

Authentic hospitality. We’ll run with friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was great. The views from the terrace are breathtaking. Great place for alfresco dining.

Absolutely faultless hotel on the shores of the lake with an incredible view of the mountains. Excellent restaurant with a good choice of dishes and all beautifully cooked. Great breakfast, eggs cooked to order, lots of creals, fruit, yoghurt, meat, cheeses, fresh rolls and croissants, gorgeous coffee and juice- amazing! Room was super clean, modern, comfy bed. Small balcony with great lake view. Lots of terrace seating, play area for children. All newly done and pristine. Free parking. To top it off, fantastic music playing in the bar, a gentle mix off Bon Iver, Pink Floyd, Cyndi Lauper, Janis Joplin and even Jackson C Frank! Could have just sat there, totally relaxed and enjoyed the utter peace for days...

Nothing at all, it was perfect. Tobias is the most wonderful host and communication was great, even before we arrived. We had a lovely table reserved for us, everything was done to make us feel welcomed and we would go back in a heartbeat. It was the quietest and most 'in the heart of nature' of all our stays in Switzerland.

There was no milk available for breakfast. For breakfast some fruits, vegetables and eggs would be nice. The communication that the restaurant was closed, was not well communicated in the initial email. It was mentioned it is closed on weekdays off-season, but not on the weekend. So we had to eat dinner in the city.

Beautiful location, very comfortable, amazing value for money, clean and modern.

Love it. The location is amazing. The staff are super welcoming and very hospitable. Made to feel welcome. The rooms are modern, very nicely done in terms of the interior design. Best hotel ever with regard to having power sockets available all throughout the room. Makes charging phones so easy. same for the restaurant. You can plug in up or phone charger at your table. Totally well done. Other hotels don’t even come close in being so good, so well thought through. Best value for money for a hotel room in Switzerland.

Too warm in the room and no possibility to turn off the heating. Maybe good for someone, for us it was too hot.

Our entire experience was great (dinner and breakfast quite good, friendly staff, great location).

Given the mixed reviews we were hesitant to stay here. However, our experience was great! From check-in (friendly and efficient), to great dinner menu (local comfort food), to the overall service we were completely satisfied. We would stay again. The facilities are quite nice for a 2 star hotel: nice views, cozy.

Great location. Very quiet and remote. Nice break from the city life. Easy to find a lot of parking place outside. Good base for hiking. Hotel rooms are simple, but ok and clean.

Food options are bit flat. Feels tad expensive for what it is compared to other options in the mountains.

Beautiful location

I was traveling by bike and wanted to keep my bicycle in my room, but they refused to let me do so. Every other hotel allowed me to keep my bike with me. Since this was my only mode of transportation and my bike is quite expensive, it was important for me to keep an eye on it. The bartender very kindly found a storage room in which I could lock it up.

The property enjoys an amazing lakeside location directly facing the stunningly beautiful Klontarlarsee. The hotel is simple and traditional. My room was modern, clean and comfortable . The food menu is simple but tasty. I found the staff to have been friendly and helpful.

The rooms are spotless and brand new. Shower was excellent, location of the hotel is great. Hotel is nice and quiet, you'll sleep so well. :)

This for sure applies only to covid-times, not to normal operation. At dinner, we needed to wait everyone (even the ones that were very late) to be seated before getting our dinner. This was slightly frustrating when you are hungry and tired after a long hiking day.

Fantastic location on the lakeside. Very friendly management and staff. Good breakfast.

The quality of food in the restaurant could definitely be better. Fish and chips did not taste of fish and a breaded schnitzel which really was not good.
