Hotel Neu-Schönstatt

​🟢 What I liked (Likes): The overall experience at the hotel was very good. The room was clean, tidy, and featured a balcony with a breathtaking view. Please note that everything here is completely digital (might not be ideal for technophobes). A small detail that might matter to some guests: There is a small wooden crucifix hanging in the room. Also, if your room faces the church, you will hear the church bells chime every quarter-hour and on the hour, starting from 6:00 AM until 8:00 PM.

​🔴 What could be improved (Dislikes): ​There is no electric kettle in the room. ​There is no air conditioning—something to consider if you visit during the summer (according to the hotel brochure, AC usage is prohibited in this town). ​The breakfast is quite basic and not very rich.

The location is gorgeous. About $220 US dollars for two twin size beds plus you need a car to get here. The views and a chance to slow waaaayyyy down we exactly what we were looking for on our way to Chur. There is a church onsite and I spoke with a nun who mentioned they own the property. There is an exercise room and infrared suana onsite and a relaxation room where you can lay and drink hot tea after sauna and/or exercise. There are many areas to be outside enjoying the nature- lake, mountains, local farms, sheep hearding and cow hearding can be seen as well. Gorgeous. Relaxing.

Booking.com advertised a 3 bedroom apartment but when we got there, there was no such accommodation. Thankfully, the hotel manager helped us and put us in 2 seperate double rooms.

The location was amazing, the hotel is modern and clean

There is not soundproofing thats why the hotel offers earplugs. The breakfast did not have a variety of food. There is not staff at the reception.

Clean, spacious and well kept property.

No staff felt a bit less welcoming as all automated. No bar or place to have a drink and chill in the evening, no room service or food available beyond the restaurant and a limited drinks / snack dispenser in the lobby. Restaurant very limited menu (veg or meat menu choice only) where the main course was very small (smallest cordon bleu I have ever had) compensated by lots of potatoes. Food ok but nothing to write home about. All functional but lacking in my humble opinion a bit of "love" ok if you only need a clean room to sleep in. Free wake up at 06h00 with church bells ringing, so no sleeping in.
