Amden, where relaxation goes to holiday

The view from the room across the hills to the mountains was fantastic. The serenity, when the only thing you hear is the core bells and the birds is so relaxing Only a couple minute walk to the chair life to get up the mountain for hiking or skiing or a nice hike down the mountain to the lake The staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating

Amazing hotel and host , comfy beds, the views are breathtaking and really delicious breakfast. Really had an amazing time at this hotel.

Excellent hotel-restaurant

The beds were tiptop, the food at the restaurant was amazingly good, I was surprised to see only me and my son for two nights in a row in a restaurant of that quality. The view of our room was breathtaking, and the shower iwas really good. Very friendly and helpful staff

Disappointing

The view is really nice. It was foggy and raining for our complete stay, but that is not the fault of the hotel. I can imagine with good weather that it muat be great. The pizza was really good in the restaurant. The staff tried their best to accommodate us even though they struggled with english they still helped as much as possible.

The beds were very low and uneven. We still have back pain from our stay. The towels are super dated and need replacing. There is not lift so when you carry heavy bags, you have to take it down and up a lot of stairs. There were sounds of hammering constantly throughout our stay. It's quite noisy noisy as locals come to hang out in the bar upstairs. When checking out early, no one was awake - we missed the included breakfast as no one was there to serve us (8:15 AM). The price of the property is pretty expensive - the only real benefit of the place is the view of the mountain. There is also a chuch nearby that rings the bell every 15 minutes without fail, throughout the day (and night).

Fantastic stay, best view ever, and a breakfast chef that was so helpful and sweet with vegan food!

Breakfast was delicious! The chef even whipped out a delicious vegan option and made sure that everyone who slept through breakfast had enough. The staff were incredible and improved the stay so much. The room had the most beautiful view I've ever seen and was clean and comfortable. It's close to the lifts and great hiking whether by foot or by bus.

On Saturday night, the bar above us was rather loud. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Breakfast was good. View was gorgious. The hotel is easy reachable by public transport.

The beds were much too soft (for us). The room furniture and facilities were a bit runned down for the price asked. And then there have been these unnecessary hammering noises in the flat above (where the owners live) just before we left off: they could have waited since we were the only guests.

View from the restaurant/patio is exceptional. Staff were accommodating, and breakfast was good.

Based on photos we expected a room with panoramic windows and a great view. Our actual room had small windows and limited view, but price was the same. Recommend to confirm before booking that you get a room with big windows and great view!

Tolles Restaurant!

Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, das Essen war sehr lecker und wurde zügig serviert. Das Personal war meistens sehr freundlich, die Aussicht und Lage wunderbar. Die Zimmer waren gross, ebenfalls mit schöner Aussicht. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut und reichhaltig.

Bitte die Sauberkeit in den Zimmern, insb. im Bad, verbessern. Die Zimmer waren gegen den Gang ringhörig.

Ansprüche und Zweck meines Aufenthalts erfüllt

Das Frühstück war ausreichend, von allem etwas. Das Personal und die Wirtin ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Auf Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Wir haben auch im Restaurant Abendessen gehabt und gut gegessen. Die Aussicht vom Hotelzimmer aus war auch schön. Betten sind bequem, ich habe gut geschlafen.

Leider hat es keine Gratis Parkplätze zum Hotel. Vis à vis kann man das kostenpflichtige Parkhaus nutzen.

Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen, auch das Nachtessen sehr fein und Preis Leistung sehr gut.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend. Alles wurde an den Tisch gebracht. Die Lage des Hotels ruhig uns sehr schön gelegen mit wunderbarer Aussicht.

Es gibt keinen Lift. Für uns kein Problem, aber für ältere oder gehbehinderte sind die Zimmer schwer zu erreichen.

Un hôtel qui porte bien son nom!

Chambre de bonne dimension, au calme, et avec une vue absolument superbe. Le restaurant de l'établissement mérite aussi des félicitations (carte variée, mets très bien apprêtés), le tout servi dans un magnifique décor de montagnes, que ce soit depuis la terrasse ou depuis la salle à manger intérieure.

Pas grand chose, si ce n'est la descente d'escaliers (une trentaine de marches) pour accéder à notre chambre; ce n'est évidemment pas à la portée de certaines personnes âgées ou handicapées, dommage...
