Swiss service feels reserved compared to Italy's warmth.

s this is my first time visiting Switzerland, I wanted to share some impressions from my stay. Coming directly from Italy, where social interaction is very warm and open, I found the atmosphere here to be quite different—perhaps a bit more reserved or formal. At times, the service felt a little cold, and it seemed like there was an unspoken expectation for guests to already know certain local rules or 'how things work' without much explanation. While I understand that every culture has its own pace, a more proactive and friendly approach from the staff would have made me feel more welcome. It's a beautiful country, but as a first-time visitor, a bit of extra warmth goes a long way in making someone feel at home.

Sports Hotel with great facilities

I liked the facilities avsilable. This is a sports centre with rooms. The following are available...swimming pool, hot pool, wellness centre, climbing walls (cost).

Exceptional place to stop for a night or two, especially if you like swimming!

Staying at a leisure centre was a first for me, but I was not disappointed. The swimming facilities on offer are absolutely first rate, absolutely pristine and virtually empty! There is a 25 metre lane pool, a diving board area, a separate large kids pool (and baby area), a fantastic heated outdoor pool with mountain view, and a modern safe & engaging water slide. Our kids 13 & 15 had a brilliant time. The on-site restaurant is very very good, with a wide menu. We stayed for two nights and ate there twice. There isn't a lot to do in the local town, but we did do a 3 hour walk up the nearby Fronalppass for exceptional views of the valley.

The actual rooms were spotless, but a little sparse. Not a problem for us as we only used them for sleeping.

Clean room and comfortable beds. Very good breakfast. all the staff were very nice and friendly: from the ladies at the reception, through the pool staff and the cleaning crew. we felt really good there. we were with a dog and everyone was positive. Lintharena has an impressive infrastructure, we didn't have time to use everything so we will gladly come back

It was fine for what I wanted.

I just wanted somewhere with aircon and this was much better value than the options that were closer to Lake Lucerne. I managed to procure ice cubes. A member of staff went to find me a trolley to bring my things to the room. Beds and bedding nice enough. Some rooms have a good sized desk and surfaces, which I asked for and got.

It should be mentioned that people are very friendly and the breakfast was very good.

I was looking for a hotel with wellness in the region of Wallensee. During searching in booking.com I had definitely chosen date and I have clicked the wellness facilities. Then, the list of the hotels with such facilities appeared and I have picked up this one. Unfortunately, the indication that the wellness in out of order these days was in small letters. That means that booking was aware on that. However, it was not a clear indication about that during searching. Finally I paid a hotel in order to have these facilities available (my apartment is not far away) for nothing. BOOKING.com must be more clear on that! I use BOOKING in order to help me to find a hotel which satisfies my needs and not to create confusions and to inform me about such an important information in small letters. My complaint is about booking.com and not about the hotel. The hotel is interesting for somebody who like to have wellness facilities and to have fun with his family in the water games. Evaluating the hotel without these facilities, it is nothing special. It is in the middle of nowhere with simple rooms and quite expensive for the services.

Our family enjoyed our Easter holiday very much at Lintharena. It’s perfect for families+relaxation

Location - easy to reach with public transportation. Beautiful mountains and green hills around. I liked the minimalist style and cleaniness of the whole hotel incl. restaurant, swimming pools and sauna area. My kids enjoyed the water slide, outdoor playground and football field so much (we borrowed a football ball at the hotel). The staff were very pleasant and attentive.

Nice rooms, excellent pool‘s

the restaurant closes at 18:00 on Sunday and we had to drive. Not ideal. Futhermore all all lights was turned off on the parking lot.

Everything was new and clean. Friendly staff. Indoor sport pool, water slide and outdoor heated pool were all perfect. We enjoyed a lot with our kids.

The only downside was no private bathroom. Public shower and toilet was across the corridor.
