I always stay at the Sorell when I have meetings in the region. this hotel has a perfect location just across the train station on one hand and very close to the interesting part of town where I can find some nice dinner location or just hang out in the evening . the Hotel also has a nice Chinese restaurant in the evening which is very nice.

Perfect

The new lobby and upgrades to hotel lounge were excellent. New drink stations makes the rooms more spacious - nice extras with Yoga mat, rucksack and free bikes for hire which made our stay perfect to explore.

Breakfast sometimes looks tired if you arrive after 9:30 and the kitchen staff overly keen to clear away by 9:45 on weekdays for the 10am deadline! They did apologise however and offer to scramble some more eggs!

Perfect location near the Train station

Good Bed, pillows are big for those who like big pillows (I prefer small). Nice shower soap and body cream. Decoration of the room is done very nice. Nice that you can get coffee and water self-service on the 3rd floor. Staff is very well trained and explains all very good.

-I would say is a bit overpriced, that's why my bad rate for value for money. -Breakfast is managed by the restaurant on the groundfloor. I did not like it the restaurant, the taste of the food and coffee and the concept how is served, It does not match with the hotel. I recommend to book without breakfast and go and have a nicer coffee and breakfast somewhere else. -Noise as of 5:00 am when rooms are started to be cleaned, could not sleep after that.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Rapperswill

We really appreciated the receptionist going out of his way to get us a quiet room. Fantastic location across the road from station and round the corner from lake front. Delicious breakfast with lovely man serving it. loved the garden to sit out in. Some free drinks and (paid for) snack available. Highly recommended.

Very clean, comfortable stay, great location just right across the train station

- Very clean room, and comfy bed - Nice wall charging outlets - Breakfast was good, especially liked the toaster with an upper rack for heating buns, croissants, waffles! - Friendly staff who served coffee for guests at the table - Common self-service coffee machine at the lobby

- I had a Standard Twin Room but the bedroom size felt somewhat smaller (more like 15m2 rather than 23m2) - Basic room (no in-room coffee/tea maker facility) - Only centralized air circulation, which was ok for us in May - Bathroom is a little dim but toiletries are good - I informed the hotel that I'll be travelling with a 2-year-old toddler but they didn't prepare the room with any toys or amenities for kids, which was my disappointment for Sorells. Nevertheless, the hotel nicely contacted me prior to arrival whether a cot needs to be prepared, which I didn't need.

Lovely stopover

Location is perfect. Stayed only 1 night on transit, managed to enjoy sunset evening walk around the Castle and water front. Lots of eating options near by. Staff friendly, accommodated our requests to supply electric kettle to our rooms.

Unclear car access instructions about where to park (paid parking)..wished the hotel showed customers the map to approach. We had to go around the blocks few times. Rooms very small.
