Extra early breakfast on the day of the Sri Chinmoy marathon swim on 3.8.25 was a great and very appreciated surprise. Thanks a lot for this to the whole team!

Nice old hotel with modern rooms in a the main square

I stayed in a single room which was small but perfectly adequate for a one night stay. The breakfast was included in the price and really quite good - with lots of choice and good quality. The staff were very friendly and allowed me to leave my luggage till lunch time so that I could take a trip out of town to Bauma to travel on the Zurich Oberland steam train. The hotel is right in the centre of the old town and only a short walk from the station.

The room rate was higher than equivalent hotels I had stayed in in other Swiss towns.

Very friendly and helpful stuff. Decent breakfast with amazing croissants. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Bear in mind that there’s a city clock with a bell ringing every 15 min. If you are a sensitive sleeper, it’s gonna be hard

Reception staff good.

The hotel is in a square in the centre of old part of the town. ideal position near restaurants shops and lots of interesting things to see. Had some food in the restaurant , it was busy and the food and service was good. Had a side facing room that looked out over the wall of the building next door. Reception staff really nice and friendly which was a real positive.

The single room was basic with no view. Usually I would say get a front facing room of the square but at the moment it seems that extensive work is being carried out at the Church above the hotel and they are using the square in front of the hotel to deposit rubble into a skip. Really loud during working hours , started at 8 , so I wouldn’t suggest a front room at moment. will be ok when completed I guess. Also the mattress was uncomfortable , seemed quite thin. Breakfast basic but fine , all you needed really and attentive service.

A fabulous hotel to enjoy a fabulous historic town on Lake Zurich.

We loved the friendliness and attentiveness of all the staff. The position of the hotel is perfect, Rapperswil has a beautiful historic old part and Hotel Jakob could not be in a better position. The hotel has some quirky contemporary elements and decor that make it a fun and interesting place to stay. The lunch and dinners were exceptional, the cocktails were magnificent. However, there are so many superb restaurants that you can easily walk to if you want to change scenery.

There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel, I am confident that if there was, it would have been corrected immediately.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the old town.

Great location, right in the heart of the old town. Simply furnished but clean and modern room. Lovely views over the main square and of the castle. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Really nice restaurant.

I found the room quite bright even after we closed the curtains and didn’t know that there are shutters outside on each window that we could have used. A note or a sign would have been good.
