Great short stay right in the centre of Cheltenham.

The situation of the hotel was excellent, room was warm, clean and on the ground floor. The fridge, kettle, microwave and crockery and cutlery were most useful.

This was not a cheap hotel and although the location is good it is a very poor and shabby

The location is very good for Cheltenham town centre and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The heating worked well.

The minimal on-site parking is extremely difficult to find, down a very narrow lane at the back (I had to drive up the kerb) and even when I finally located it after several trips around the town's one-way systems there were no spaces left even before checking in time and I struggled to get back out and on to the main road. I then had to find town centre parking and pay for my stay (£10). The furniture in the room is very shabby, nothing matches and it looks like it has been found in a poor charity shop and the decor is extremely dull and old fashioned. The window did not close down fully and I had to put a scarf to stop the draft coming in. The curtains were hanging off in places and the TV did not work at all. The staff were not able to provide me with another room or a replacement TV.

I had the only room with a bath in which is in the basement, very cozy a little tired but it was great, the big bath in the ensuite has a stone arch ceiling, all for £50, loved it

Decent room and en-suite. Plenty of coffee etc and appliances. Good value for money and location. Comfortable bed.

Staff are amazing, the rooms need a refresh/upgrade desperately.

The staff are very helpful and friendly.

The rooms are more akin to a hostel than a hotel. Wallpaper peeling off the walls and old worn carpet. For the price this hotel should be a lot more habitable.

Friendly, welcoming staff with spacious room

I was pleasantly surprised how spacious the room is. Having a fridge was so handy. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. I was given a ground floor room which I was grateful having mobility issues it made me stay so easy.

The mattress could have been a bit harder. A thicker duvet would have been appreciated, but that's just my opinion.

What a dive. Do not stay here

The staff were sullen and rude. Checking in was like being booked into a prison cell. The whole place was dirty and tired and needs renovation. Everything needs updating or replacing. The toilet leaks the shower is faulty. The bed is sunken and saggy. The carpet has burns in it. The paint is flaking on everything . The room stinks of old cigarettes. The place is like a hostel or a halfway house it's not a hotel.. Do not stay here if you're a tourist. The other guests come in late, make a lot of noise and leave early. I got no sleep.

Not sure why on arrival they insist on taking a photocopy of photo ID. Don’t want to be giving my driving license number or passport number along with my DOB to a hotel. Never come across this with any other hotel.

Very comfortable beds and enjoyable stay close to wonderful stores and shops - bus and train nearby.

We were very comfortable- large windows onto the steer gave sun and light and views of the town. Staff was most helpful- the microwave and hot pot was appreciated and used- the bowls and cups were thoughtful and a small refrigerator excellent! Thank you all

The price was not reasonable compared to the service or room.

Reception was helpful and it was a last minute booking so it was good to have a place.

Not having good sleep because of noise in the middle of the night which was 3 or 4am. The room not having a lock inside not very safe. The room itself was not very well maintained like curtains were dirty walls were cracked.

Room 7. Small window panes fragile. Sash window, zero maintenance. All furnishings felt like a mismatch from the charity shop. Whole property needs investment. Poor accommodation for £80 a night.

In the stairway up to bedroom, the carpets are disgusting. Very dirty and ripped. Net curtains in bedroom only half way up window and house opposite can see straight in. Doors have huge gaps at bottom but luckily no noisy guests. Towel in shower, very old, ripped and bleach marks on. The hotel needs a general tidy up, some decoration and additional privacy and noise measures.

The hotel just what we wanted a clean room and shower to use and free parking. The fridge and microwave was very Handy. The hotel does need Updating. We were happy and the staff very helpful.

ONLY BOOK TO STAY HERE IF YOUR ABOUT TO BE HOMELESS. Absolutely shocking. Other ratings have said value for money. I paid £130 to stay in a sh..hole in Cheltenham. Look at the photos. Minging!!!

Extremely disappointing

First impressions matter a lot and the general state of the entrance, reception and room should be seriously considered. Generally looks as if the whole building could.do with a complete overhaul….. just look at the front door and you will realise this is very low standard maintenance. Being in such a perfect position related to Cheltenham Centre this is a very low standard hotel.

The mirror is placed too high up the wall so it's impossible to see into it. Extremely rusty metal brackets on the glass shelf in bathroom Bathroom door has no lock and difficult to keep closed (Room 18)

Everything , it started with the joke of available parking in the description . The bed was almost falling apart. We had to move it to unplug the fan so it could be the opposite side, the bed was very rickety. The kettle was filled using a glass because it didn't fit under the basin tap. The carpet throughout was awfully stained & worn but the same could be said about all the decor; tired & worn out. Seriously underwhelmed & disappointed. It was so hot in the room we opened the window and it wouldn't stay open, we had to prop it with a mug. Really disappointing thank goodness it was only for the night.
