A clean, well-kept guesthouse in a great Cheltenham location with a lovely host, excellent breakfast

I had a really nice stay at Alice’s Guest House. Karen, the host, was lovely, made a fantastic breakfast, and was very accommodating. The place was clean, well-kept, and in a great location with plenty of food options nearby. While there’s no parking on-site, the Westgate Car Park is just around the corner. It's free from 8 PM until 9 AM in the morning (and until 10 AM on Sundays), which is really convenient if you’re driving. Overall, a great experience and excellent value for the price. Definitely recommended!

Ideal for friendly stay in Cheltenham. .

Have stayed here before, so knew it was going to be nice! . Location is great, a 20 min walk from the railway station. .easy to find. .The welcome was very friendly and my room was great for my stay. Big bed, window that opens, towels nice quality. .2 bathrooms right next to my room. .the breakfast was exceptional! Lots of lovely choices! Eggs cooked perfectly! Very tasty and catered for my gluten free bread!thank you! . Had a peaceful sleep, well rested. .

Bathroom was abit cold in the morning. . . Not a dog lover! but he wasnt a problem to me. .

it seved its purpose as an overnight stop on my way to Birmingham.

The room was larger than expected with a very comfortable double bed. It was not ensuite, but two bathrooms were available just one step away. the beakfast was a great addition. served promptlt and hot.

no parking, but a large amount of council parking is available within 2 minutes walk.

The worst stay I’ve ever had — I would never come back.

Nothing at all. The place was disappointing from start to finish.

The room was dirty and smelled bad. The bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom was not clean. The location was noisy and not as described. Overall, it was a terrible experience and not worth the money at all.

Clean bedroom with good facilities like wardrobe, dressing table, tea and coffee. Towels were clean and bedding was good quality. Host was friendly and inviting- made us feel welcome and at ease.

The main shower was quite dirty! Room itself was spotless but the shower cubicle had quite a lot of grime.

I loved my room Alice was very helpful (as I get anxious) adorable dog overall good stay

I love how much time and care was put into designing these rooms and the garden area, so homey and relaxing. Breakfast included the host was so helpful with every question I had, bonus a beautiful dog milo, a good price for what you get, I had to stay a little longer due to my lift being a bit late and alice was very kind about the checkout time. Will definitely be back!

A country retreat in the heart of the city. Exceptional.

Alice guest house is an exceptional little retreat 15 minutes walk from Cheltenham, town centre. You would never know such an idyllic, beautiful, calming retreat existed just behind the front garden wall. As someone who travels a lot and loves the countryside Alice, felt like being in Dorset, more than a built up city area in Cheltenham. From the exquisite back garden, the flowers, the unique little touches, Alice, is a visual delight and I would stay there again for definite next time I'm in Cheltenham.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Alice in my favourite special room. I just love the one bed room with ensuite. Breakfast was simple but a good start to the day nonetheless.

Karen was a lovely, helpful hostess. The other guests were friendly and I enjoyed chatting to them.

Pleasant and quirky accommodation. Enjoyed sitting in the garden. Shops nearby.

Parking in the street, nowhere nearby to leave the car. Breakfast was ok, though would've liked some bacon /sausage. Wasn't aware beforehand that it would be vegetarian.

So many places use highly perfumed laundry detergents and cleaning products. Please consider changing to unscented and more environmentally friendly products.

Lovely garden. Quiet location in a busy part of town. Clean, comfortable room. Other guests were interesting people.

I'd have liked more wholesome meusli, greek yoghurt and more fruit for breakfast, and more fruit / herbal tea options in the room. Lighting in the room was gloomy - I had to rearrange the lights to be able to read in bed.

A lovely space to relax in after busy walking days

Cosy,clean comfortable bed , good functional tv with lots of channels - tea,coffee in room , good showers and breakfast - lovely helpful host - couldn’t fault it - 15 minute walk into town

Property great but Had to figure out buses and where they left from- it’s a long way from the station - but there is a bus after the walk into town - and from the station into town on bus D - there are many bus company’s that cover town and surrounding villages - can be confusing due to lack of signage. 801 Pullmans co was great to get to villages like Bourton and Moreton
