Great location for an evening out in Cheltenham

Easy check in, good room, period features

Whilst not an issue it would have been useful to provide more info around breakfast, how to use the juicer, stacking of pots, what is expected. We stacked our pots and those of others in the dishwasher. Others just left them on the side

Good.

The position is very good, the room was huge and comfortable, the staff were very kind with the instructions for the parking and the room exploitation.

They made me spend 5 pounds for park in front of the hotel, I’d prefer to know that in advance, and there’s not a spot for charge an electric car. A king size bed with 2 blankets (one for each person) is something I didn’t understood. For that price we should had the breakfast included.

Cheltenham overnight

Location was excellent, only a few minutes from shops and restaurants, yet it was quiet, so no problem sleeping. Bed was comfortable, lovely bathroom. Good to have a fridge.

As I booked two rooms, I would have liked them to have been closer together. Instead, one was on the top floor and the other on the 1st. There is no lift so you need to be able to tackle stairs as this is a beautiful old building.

Great place to stay

The location is excellent, very central and very convenient, especially if you arrive by coach. Both the bedroom and bathroom are very spacious and clean. All the basics you need were all there. There were water, milk and oat milk in the mini-fridge, which is very well thought-of. The gentleman who looks after the hotel (and guests - I forgot to ask his name) was very attentive and helpful, thank you. I did not have breakfast, so cannot comment, but there is a kettle and basic tea/coffee facility in the room. I only stayed one night. Would certainly stay there again.

Comfortable and convenient accommodation in Cheltenham

No breakfast provided but there are many local places to eat. Location very convenient for the Cheltenham Literature Festival and the shops. Excellent shower. Bathroom and room both reasonable size. Tea and coffee making facilities and fresh milk provided. Also bottled water. Electric sockets near the beds to attach phone chargers. We were able to arrange a full day's parking on the final day (for a fee)

Not sure how to regulate the room temperature. Would have liked glasses in the bathroom. We didn't realise till day 2 that spare pillows were in the drawers under the beds.

Disappointing facilities where the floor and walls were on an unmistakable angle and out of square.

Incorrectly rated as it would be not be considered. 2-1/2 star. The promised breakfast was only cold food and self serve. It was not disclosed when booking the accommodation.

The host was very welcoming and accommodating providing us with a very enjoyable stay. Lovely extras such a fridge stocked with milk and bottled water in our room. Breakfast was great value for money including gluten free options and fresh squeezed orange juice. Great location only a couple of minutes walk from shops, bars, and restaurants.

Very convenient for our special award ceremony at the University of Gloucestershire and good places

Everything was good in the kitchen and access to the building and parking were very easy. we were made very welcome and helped with our luggage to the top floor

Good value, great location but some minor upgrades needed

Lovely hot shower, clean fresh linens, well equipped kitchenette, super quiet room in perfect central location. Access to the property was easy and well organised. Team members were friendly and kind.

Pillows were not very comfortable, the hot water boiler was going on and off all night long, the furnishings were a little dated. With a few simple upgrades this could be rated excellent across the board.

Good location but sadly wouldn't be able to stay here again.

The location was fantastic for us to explore the town on foot. Shopping, eateries, and places of interest were within easy reach. The Holst Museum was very interesting, we enjoyed the lovely parks, and we had some very good meals - especially worth noting are Cote Cheltenham, and the amazing pub, Tailors Cheltenham.

We paid for a quality hotel and felt that what we experienced didn't reach the mark. Particularly worth noting is that the room that we stayed in, room 7, hears practically everything that is going on in the room above which greatly impeded our resting in the afternoons (we both have health issues that are alleviated with rest), and also our sleeping at night was greatly disturbed when the people staying in the room above were talking and walking about for what seemed like many hours, in the early hours!

Pleasant place but could have been done to a better standard.

Location, was easy to get to.

Trying to get inside, find rooms and kitchen was slightly confusing. Couldn’t get the A/C to get cold either. You could see the rooms have been returned but being a tradesman it’s been done to a very poor standard of finish.

Pleasant but was expecting a little more comfort when it came to the bed

Location and room were all good. Also parking right outside the building.

Only one pillow per person on the double bed, which was actually 2 single beds zipped together, mattresses a little hard. Also curtains in room 3 did not cover the whole window so daylight was coming in from early in the morning making it hard to sleep after 5:30am

Property was good. Only slight difficulty was only one parking space available as hotel fully booked (we were travelling separately) and NCP was a short walk away BUT many hotels in Cheltenham have no parking, so normally it would be ok.

Great location free parking included making it a great base to explore the area on foot.

A great location, and the included parking. Communication from booking to arrival was very good and easy to understand. Large room, comfortable and clean.

The breakfast could be described better on the booking.com website to make people aware it is self-service canteen style. Nothing wrong with the breakfast, very convenient and well stock, just remember only releasing the type of breakfast it was after making the initial booking.

Good value for the central location.

Great location close to the centre. Parking good value at £5 for 24 hours. Nice clean room and bathroom and the aircon was terrific in the recent hot weather. Breakfast was make your own in the kitchen but that suited us.
