Found someone’s glasses by the bed, and sink wasn’t clean. So room wasn’t cleaned well.
Really disappointed that despite my writing in advance, and repeating to person calling me at pre-checking in, nothing was done for my wife when it was her special birthday weekend.
Getting to room 14 was very awkward as so many stairs, and indeed steep stairs to climb. It’s not enough to warn there’s no lift.
Rather a lot of street noise so had to sleep with window shut.

Really central to both the town and the lovely bars and restaurants of Montpelier. Had parking close by. Quirky room with a sitting area and mezzanine bedroom. Lovely power shower. Fresh milk and water in the fridge. Fantastic communication from the staff which made the stay easier and more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.
Nothing really but if being picky would have liked a sofa rather than 2 chairs in the seating area and a lamp for softer lighting to make it more cosy but that’s just a preference.

Adequate
Central location, toiletries in room, hairdryer and clothes steamer provided, really comfy bed, underfloor heating in bathroom
No way to make hot food (you have to get takeaways as there is not even a microwave), unclear info about how to wash dishes (you have to leave them overnight until housekeeping service), good selection of teas and lots of fresh milk but few nespresso coffee pods provided (they are supposed to last the whole of your stay so not ideal if you want more than one cup per day).
While the location is central, the windows are single glazing and sash so they rattle when a car goes past and not the quietest street so sleep may be disrupted. It’s an old building so not great soundproofing between you and rooms above (I heard constant footsteps above me but sure if this could be solved).

Our stay was a social location meeting with friends, and the location of the property being in the centre of town was id
Design and location of the apartment, and quality and range of the facilities were all exceptional.
Staff were very helpful, professional and courteous. Details provided prior to arrival was very good, and queries during the stay were dealt with in a very timely manner.
We found nothing to dislike about the property.

Very nice and good value for money
Staff lovely and very helpful, location is great few minutes walk away from shops and restaurants. Bed very comfy and room good size for average hotel and represented value for money.
Only negative bit was hairs in the bed and shower which was a bit gross but only noticeable as the room was otherwise lovely, clean and very high quality.
Coffee machine didn't work but looked cool lol.

Lovely character to room and quirky…. Location was great and carpark a minute away, better signage for car park would be helpful. Beautifully decorated bathroom with underfloor heating . Bed comfortable and good quality bedding.
The shower was beautiful nice and powerful however the water did not drain and when I removed the trap it was clogged up and had not been cleaned . The room was very cold apart from the bathroom with heated flooring.

Location was excellent, a few minutes walk from the centre of Cheltenham. The communication before the booking was clear and gave me all the info as this is an unmanned apartment block but you get the codes etc. sent through. No issues at all. Apartment was lovely. Very well equipped with fridge (including bottles of water and milk), coffee machine, kettle etc etc. Really nice bathroom, spotlessly clean. Big comfy bed.

Location perfect. Also bathroom excellent, bed v comfortable. Milk in fridge and coffee machine much appreciated! Only negative was that there was no way of getting fresh air in, which hampered my - not my husband’s! - sleep.

Comfortable and convenient
You have to consider this as a hotel room without any additional facilities and as such it was very comfortable, good large bed, excellent shower, high quality fittings. It is not a self catering apartment. The location is excellent with the added convenience of parking.
The parking, property and room are controlled by key codes and we had repeated problems with this. Fortunately someone was always available on the end of a phone, and although bemused why it didn't work it was quickly resolved. I think we were just unlucky.

Location's great, Phone service of the ByMansley staff was helpful which was also very necessary as the door code system appeared to be buggy (see negative comments section)
Everything is done electronically; no staff on-site, so you cannot stay at this property without the ByMansley proprietary smartphone app. You check into the venue upon arrival and then receive a code to open the front door. This code is supposed to also work for the room-door but doesn't (person in the room next to mine had the exact same issue, so this is structural). After contacting the service desk, they managed to get it working after a few tries (they can do this remotely over the internet). After I left for dinner and came back, the code again didn't work; called again; reset again; after that I had no more issues with the door.
The building is narrow, deep, and high, so if you are in the furthest rooms, it's quite a hike through a maze of fire doors and staircases to get to your room. I just had a backpack and a stroller, but would not advise with big suitcases.
Practicality and cleanliness left a lot to be desired:
- The shower had hair on the wall from the previous guest.
- The bathroom sink is mounted quite low to the floor; great for children, but inconcenient for adults
- Since the tap in the bathroom sink is close to the sink to the point where washing your hands is already a challenge, there is no way you can fit a water bottle, the hot water klettle or the water tank of the coffee machine under there. There is a pyrex measuring cup in the cupboard which one could use *if it was clean*. A greasy residue was left inside of it, so I Left it standing next to the coffee machine for cleaning staff to take care of it. The full three days I stayed there the cleaning staff did a great job at making the bed and replacing the towels, but ignored the muck-coated measuring cup and coffee cups.
- The bathroom doorpost had a nail sticking out of it with no purpose at all.
- The soap dispensers in the bathroom had removable pumps of which the pipe was too short, so they look 1/3rd full but cannot be used.

Short break for our 38th wedding anniversary
Had supreme room. Room was very clean. Bed comfortable.
Checked fridge on arrival and there were 2 bottles of water and a pint of milk. Went off for the evening came back to make a late night cuppa, opened the milk and it had gone off! Too late in evening to hunt for milk so no cuppa in evening or first thing in the morning.

In the centre of town, great parking facility and flawless unmanned entry. We were kept well informed leading up to our stay. Luxurious decor and great bed. 🛏️
The air conditioning unit was very noisy we have informed the manager and, given how well kept the property is, I’m sure this will be rectified immediately.
