Great hotel in central location for easy walking around the city

Fabulous, boutique style hotel in central Cheltenham

Everything. Stayed here in separate room s with three friends. Loved the decor, each room is different. All the bathrooms were well stocked with lovely big walk in showers ( two also had roll tops baths). Bedding was excellent, massive bed, 6 feather pillows (extra points from me for a soft squishy pillow to sleep on ) mattress was very comfortable. Black out curtains, Dyson hairdryers, nice touch with fresh milk for teas and coffees. Really well stocked mini bar. The Gin and Juice bar has been elevated to my favourite bar - wonderful service and lots of nooks and crannies to sit in with real fires adding to the ambience. Will definitely stay again

Overnight stay

Beautiful decor . Good size room. very clean. well stocked mini bar and good size toiletries. Central position in Cheltenham.

The generator came on in the marquee used as the Breakfast/Dinning area. This was around 6am so a little disruptive to our sleep. Breakfast time was a wet morning , so you have to go outside to walk to the marquee. Umbrellas where provided, On arrival , the room was a little cold , we sat next to a heater but this didn't really help the wind was blowing though the gaps. leading to a uncomfortable Breakfast. Some inside dinning maybe preferable. Also a covered walkway to the Marquee. In general these are small issues but if addressed would have made our stay perfect.

If you’re wanting a quiet night away, this hotel isn’t for you. The hotels bar and outside area is open til early hours and is very loud (this is stated on their information)

Great food and location, bedsheets and bed very comfortable.

Lovely bed linen and very clean

I paid as a Christmas treat for my mum and dad and we where put on the top floor, ok rooms but not good for slightly older clients, due to stairs in room and climbing stairs, maybe this should be a question you ask or make people aware when booking, as I wouldn’t stay again if I wasn’t given another option. But do love the other rooms.

Great hotel, good value and would book again if I was in Cheltenham.

Great style within the hotel, bed was super big and comfy and I got a free upgrade! Dim lights throughout which I love and gives a nice atmosphere. Bar in the back sounded busy with music but we didn’t visit!

Cool cool hotel in the heart of Cheltenham

It’s such an iconic stylish experience staying here … Gin& Juice bar fabulous atmosphere and cocktails … dined at the Terrace which was great though a little chilly at this time of year! Rooms sumptuous with huge beds, endless pillows and we had a bathtub in the room!

Rooms a little too warm couldn’t find thermostat … shower room a bit tight with barely any shelving for wash bag etc.

Room Was lovely, bed comfy. The bathroom was cold, didn’t seem to be any heating in there. Nice to have a bath in the room.

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel right in the centre of Cheltenham. Its 5 star luxury. The staff were friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble. Our room was a suite, perfect for our stay as we had our daughter with us. Her room had 2 bean bags which was great for watching TV together when we returned to our room.

There are a lot of stairs in the property which wasnt a problem for us but anyone with reduced mobility may find difficult.

Nice and quiet hotel in a very good location👌🏾

Loved the retro/vintage vibe. Loved the room setup and the spacious room size! Loved the front desk staff (very helpful), the close proximity to Cheltenham Ladies’ College and restaurants, bookstore, shops, etc

The access to the reception, the access to the room (top floor - no elevator). Consider adding a door latch from inside the room for extra safety.

Great hotel but be aware of the noise factor

Even though we were in a “quiet room” we could still here the “Gin Bar” down stairs on both evenings, late into the night. Ear plugs helped but this is why the overall experience wasn’t rated excellent.

Decor and atmosphere

It was freezing in the room we were allocated (No1). We went out for the evening and returned back around 11pm. The room was so cold upon entering, I called reception around midnight and no answer, tried again around 12.30am and was told there wasn’t much they could do. The radiator was on full and had been warm when we first checked in, but was cool to the touch at this point. Slept in all my clothes, jumper and scarf. Told the staff upon checkout and got an apologetic response but nothing more.

Tiring

The room was brilliant, extra large comfortable bed, stunning bathroom with walk in double shower and olde worlde bath. Spacious more like a suite, at first we were delighted!

The thumping noise from the disco they run going on till the early hours of the morning on the friday made it impossible to sleep well. After one sleepless night we were told the would be having the same music on the saturday night till 1 or 2 am. We could not face another sleepless night so left. The very nice reception/manager was understanding and said if we emailed in they would provide a free stay in the future ..... we emailed after several times and did not have the decency of a reply. Do not book this place on a friday and saturday night if you want to rest. It was not just a little noise, but like trying to sleep inside a club!

Needs improvement

Nice hotel but lacked signage to reception so couldnt find what you needed. Breakfast service was poor. Food was nice , coffee machine broke so couldnt order specialty coffees . Noisy rooms with music playing loudly at 4pm with no customers. Needs improvement

Impressive hotel with excellent service to match.

Beautifully decorated property, incredible dinner at Yoku with excellent service from their team. Bed was incredibly comfy. Loved having a relaxing glass of wine in the claw foot tub before heading out for dinner.

The TV wasn’t on and ready for use on arrival like other hotels I’ve stayed in before. Was incredibly convoluted to get it to work. The maintenance man was called to rectify the issue. Not a negative, but felt a bit silly having to ask for help.

Luxurious stay

Staff kindly took in my bags, sorted parking permit and let me check in early. Gorgeous room. Massive bed to get lost in. Lots of pillows. Vanity mirror. Mini bar, snacks at a cost. Coffee machine, made my first Nespresso! Bath in the room. Very lush. Side shower room was also awesome with robe towels. Felt very luxurious. Manager let me book a table at the restaurant just as a walk in.

Stairs up felt a bit jolty, decor to rooms outdated and toilet seat. Only downside, the cost. But nice to splash out sometimes. Loud noises next day with emptying glasses, thin walls. Hotel shakes with traffic going past, people walking around. Then before morning check out a man went to open the door I said hello! And he nearly came in. Told reception they apologised said it might have been maintenance.
