The hotel itself has lots of nice features but lets itself down in some places. When we arrived at 8pm there were no food options available - not even snacks and we were told the restaurant was full. The spa was underwhelming - the outdoor hot tub was tepid and the bubbles weren’t working - we were told an engineer was coming, but it wasn’t fixed during our stay. The breakfast options weren’t hugely varied - the smashed avocado tasted and looked like a pot of pre made guacamole, and English breakfast left a lot to be desired. The fruit salad was only melon and pineapple both mornings, so could have been more varied. However the service was good and our room was specious and clean. Overall I felt let down given we chose the hotel because of the spa.

Our stay at the Greenway Spa Hotel did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, our booking had been entered incorrectly, leaving our reserved room unavailable. The “upgrade” offered turned out to be a cheaper room. Cleanliness was also lacking — the bathroom floor was dusty and appeared not to have been cleaned for weeks. The spa facilities were especially poor: the steam room was out of order, the sanarium was overheated with a broken thermometer, and the sauna’s temperature and humidity gauges didn’t work. Hygiene standards were low as guests used the sauna without towels, with no clear enforcement of rules. Breakfast was underwhelming for a hotel of this class, with inconsistent coffee and poorly prepared Eggs Royale. Dinner was the only highlight. Check-out was chaotic, with a billing error that initially overstated the charges. Overall: very poor value and not recommended.

I would love to give this place an excellent rating however I can't because we had a power cut and we weren't able to eat food in the evening, which I realise is not the hotel's fault One thing I will say, they do do a great breakfast

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at The Greenway. We were upgraded on arrival, and everything about the stay was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was lovely, and the spa was also very good - my partner enjoyed her treatment as well. Food was excellent - we tried both the brasserie and main dining restaurant - both were delicious. Breakfast was also lovely. The only thing that could potentially be improved would be the WiFi, which wasn't great in our room - but it certainly didn't spoil our stay - we'd definitely come back!

Delightful stay for our anniversary. Beautiful hotel with great character and tasteful, fresh decor. Four poster room was wonderful and the views were a real treat. Room service was quick and the quality of all our meals in our room and in the restaurant was consistently excellent. The spa was perfect in every respect - clean and comfortable. The happy & helpful staff all made us feel very welcome. We also enjoyed the beautiful grounds and its views. The only way our stay could have been better would have been another night or two. :-)

A lovely property with good food and very nice facilities. The bee problem around the hot tub was odd and one front desk person told us a day trip would be 3 buses and 40 pounds when it was actually 1 bus and 6. Overall a lovely hotel.

Staff very friendly, meals were tasty but a bit too much ‘fine dining,’ so small portions. Very limited, only the same 4 choices each day. Kitchen had oven problems too, which was unfortunate. Room was very comfortable and well maintained but there was a constant loud sound of running water in the radiators, very distracting especially throughout the night. Spa facilities looked really good but we weren’t able to book any treatments.

The hotel was beautiful. Rooms was incredibly cosy and bed was so comfortable. The only thing I’ll note is that for me, as a solo traveler, I felt that the hotel was a few socio econmic levels above what I’m comfortable in. It seemed to be frequented by a higher echelon of society and as a result I felt a bit out of place. That said, I’d wanted a quiet solo retreat to rest and relax and I was able to do just that.

An absolute hidden gem, I wanted somewhere close to the airport but quiet and with a touch of class and this lovely manor house did not disappoint. Excellent staff and service, evening meal was quite frankly one of the best meals I have eaten, the only downside was the family pool time for 1 1/2 hours in the evening, just when we wanted to enjoy the lovely quiet poolside loungers and hot tub. Apart from that all great and we will definitely be coming back.

James, who was at the front desk was amazing. When we checked in he gave us a tour of the property, was very knowledgeable. His presentation and appearance was 5 star. I truly thought he was the General Manager of the hotel and but he stated that he had been with the company for one year. I know with his amazing attitude and appearance that he will be in that position on our next stay. The wait staff were amazing and treated you like royalty. I would recommend this hotel to anyone to stay. You truly feel that you are the owner of an amazing English Countryside Mansion.

A lovely two night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had bar food in the lounge one evening. Sadly it was not a good experience. One member of staff having to take drinks orders, prepare the drinks and also take food orders. Poor man was totally overwhelmed by the situation. Long wait for food. James came to the rescue but it was all a little like Fawlty Towers! Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of offerings. The hotel was comfortable with beautiful gardens and a welcoming pool and spa area.

Liked dog room a bit noisy over kitchen though visit ruined however by the menu including Rabbitt!! Had a burger from bar menu in the end . If this is an award winning restaurant I don’t know how they judge it . Wouldn’t return unless they had more choice with traditional wholesome food as an option
