Perfect stay for hiking the hills around and enjoy the nature.

Great location with extraordinary views, up in the hills, you can really feel the silence and peace. Very nice food. Very friendly staff.

A worderful place to stay

This place is a gem. The hosts are very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is excellent, well prepared and visually appealing. Coffee is very good. The scenery is awesome and the place is peaceful and quiet. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Beautiful view with relaxed atmosphere

The remote location, beautiful view, friendly staff, very clean, nice hotel surroundings. Overall a very lovely experience.

The (opened) cable car during summer is a bit far away (about a 30-40 minute walk) and the last ride is at about 16:30 - but that’s the price you pay for the view. You can also ask for the hotel shuttle (van) to pick you up if you cannot make it by the cable.

Outstanding!! Schmiedhof Alm is a must visit, if you are planning to discover nature and looking for a get away from the city life. The property, view , food, comfort was outstanding. Special thanks to Fritz and Mariamne for the hospitality. The 3 day trip was very short, i wish to visit this place again without fail and try to stay for a week atleast. Zell am See offers a number of activities for toutrists, half of it are free or discounted when you are staying in Schmiedhof properties. Thank you once again Fritz. Cheers.

Das Besitzerduo Miriam und Fritz sind außergewöhnlich freundlich, nett und jederzeit ansprechbar. Ihr Bemühen den Gästen einen nachhaltig schönen Aufenthalt zu bereiten ist permanent spürbar. Miriam ist die geborene Gastgeberin, Fritz zaubert in der Küche außergewöhnliche Leckereien, die auch in ihrer Präsentation ihresgleichen suchen. Die Lage der Schmiedhofalm verzaubert jedesmal, wenn man von einer Wanderung über den Wald zurückkommt. Die Zimmer sind modern, großzügig und überraschen mit elektrisch verstellbaren Betten. Der Gastraum ist riesig ohne dass man sich verloren fühlt. Jedem Übernachtungsgast wird ein Fensterplatz zugesagt. Die Tische sind im Vergleich anderen Hotels groß. Müssen sie auch sein, bei dem was man zum Frühstück an Auswahl am Platz serviert bekommt. Wer hier meckert hat einfach noch die komplette Spanne an gastorientiertem Bemühen erlebt. Note 1++++

Fantastisch hotel!

Wat een prachtige locatie! Fijn hotel, wordt gerund door een echtpaar wat je echt heel welkom laat voelen. Heerlijk ontbijt en avondeten (we hadden halfpension). Heel veel te doen voor de kinderen (speeltoestellen, trampoline, speelgoed en tafeltennis). We komen zeker nog eens terug.

Kan eigenlijk niks bedenken... Maar je moet er zeker rekening mee houden dat je alleen met een kabelbaan omhoog en naar beneden kan. Dus je moet geen haast hebben.

Zum 2.mal dort gewesen und es wird bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein. Super sauber und bequem. Alle Mahlzeiten extrem köstlich und mit Liebe zubereitet. Wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderungen und sonstiges. Tolle Gastgeber. 👍

Unterkunft in traumhafter Lage. Ein Ort um die Ruhe, die Natur und den Ausblick auf die Berge und in die Täler zu genießen. Ausgangspunkt für herrliche Wanderungen. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, tolles Frühstück und leckeres und abwechslungsreiches Abendessen.

Einfach wundervoll

Es gab ein super Frühstück. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und komfortabel. Sehr leckeres Abendbrot. Die Lage ist einmalig und man kommt gut hin und her durch den Abholservice. Es sind keine Wünsche offen geblieben.

Sehr bemühte und bodenständige Gastgeber, Frühstück + Abendessen waren sehr gut (regionale Speisen), die Aussicht ist atemberaubend, Lage ist ruhig abseits vom Massentourismus auf der Schmittenhöhe
