Absolutely wonderful!

Amazing location and a truly lovely hotel. Ski in ski out, ski rental next door and lift passes purchased at lift station directly opposite. The food was incredible, with plenty of choice for everyone, including children. The hotel was spotlessly clean and it clearly benefits from a very recent refurbishment. All staff were attentive, helpful, and genuinely pleasant, which really added to the overall experience. We loved our stay. Highly recommend.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however there were a couple of small issues worth mentioning. On our first evening, as a party of six, we sat at an eight-person table in a completely empty bar. The bar manager came over to welcome us but also advised that we shouldn’t sit at that table if the bar became busy and suggested we move to a table for six. While we understand managing space, the bar was empty at the time and never became busy during our stay. We also noticed on subsequent evenings that smaller groups were seated at the same table. It was a minor point, but it did make us feel a little uncomfortable on our first night. Another issue was with water at dinner on our first night. We specifically asked for tap water and were served two bottles, later charged at 4.50 euros per bottle. When we queried this, we were told it was filtered tap water decanted into bottles and the charge could not be removed. This felt quite expensive, especially as there was complimentary water in our room and we weren’t allowed to bring our own water into the restaurant. These were small things overall, but they slightly detracted from an otherwise wonderful stay.

Fabulous trip - would highly recommend

Staff very nice and helpful. Well organised and very easy with dog and skies. Breakfast and half board food was great, good selection. Spa very nice.

Sofa in room was a little tired and old bit didn’t affect our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Vaya hotel

The location is absolutely beautiful and only a one-minute walk from the ski lift, which is perfect. The hotel has a great atmosphere, the rooms are spotless and well maintained, and the beds are very comfortable. We booked half board, and it exceeded all our expectations. The food selection and quality were absolutely outstanding. My wife has both gluten and lactose intolerance, and she had plenty of options to choose from without having to skip any meals. The restaurant manager was extremely attentive and made sure that the meals were suitable for our dietary needs. The waitstaff were also incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. We were very satisfied with all the services we received and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone. We would gladly return in the future.

Very good stay with mountain view

Everything was superb, very nice restaurant staff. Also front desk manager made everything clear about smallest details. Summer card helped to save a lot of money ok activities. Definitely would visit this hotel during winter season again.

Car parking could be a little bigger, but it was not an issue for me.

The price point has dramatically increased compared to 2024. It meant we could not afford an evening meal every night with you as this was terribly overpriced at 49 euros per person without drinks. The children’s evening meal was 22 euros for fish fjngers and fries. Not great value for money. Also, no action has been taken to make this a full non smoking hotel. As you are promoting wellness, this needs to be addressed. It’s disappointing

Wonderful stay in middle of scenic beautiful mountains

The stay was wonderful . We reached in evening , the staff was present to to do a smooth check in . Best part was the breakfast , we had a wide spread range of breakfast to have . Each of the room has a reserved table in the restaurant . Which made us comfortable , we had 2 kids with us , we got enough space to eat and enjoy. Also the hotel is located right in front of the seilbahn to reach of the mountain peak . The hotel provide sommer card . Our stay was wonderful , fully enjoyed it

Exceptional

Everything was great - we were well looked-after, the food was good, and the Sommer Card gave us access to loads of activities in the town. After dinner each night we went for a short walk in the edge of the countryside.

Gem in the Alps

Great hotel on the mountain with very easy bus access to centre that runs regularly. The hotel was spotless and the food was excellent! Parking right outside the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a powerful shower. The staff were so helpful and friendly especially Mario in the bar and Ariana at dinner they both went out of their way to make us feel special and were always smiling and happy. Nice little pool area that had access to sun loungers outside with a great view. Summer card included in the price with free or discounted access to lots of activities.

The room was a little dated compared to the rest of the hotel but it didn't affect our stay.

the reception staff weren’t knowledgeable or competent at times. if you want to eat out in the evenings the hotel is a long way from the town and the bus is very infrequent.

Lovely stay for a ski holiday

Overall a nice stay - rooms are not 4* quality but the rest of the facilities were lovely. The spa is perfect for relaxation after a day on the slopes and was never overly busy despite being relatively small. The food was ok as expected for half board - breakfast buffet and dinners were overall nice and with buffet starter and desert options you will not go hungry. Perfect location if skiing in schmittenhoe - if travelling to kaprun bus facilities are very efficient but it is adding approx 40 mins of journey time. Staff were friendly and room was sufficient. Ski shop for rental is part of the hotel and the heated locker room was all very helpful and made everything easy! thank you!

Wonderful powder week in a top location and very nice hotel!

The very best of the hotel is the location in the valley of the ski slopes and direct vicinity of three major ski lifts. The hotel is modern and stylish and has a nice bar and snack bar. The rooms are exceptionally quiet: No fan, no air condition can be heard. We slept very well.

The sauna has only one shower and there is no relaxing area in the SPA. Our breakfast and dinner table was in a very nice and private place right above the main entrance. However, there was smell of cold cigarette smoke. The waiter offered another table in a different area but we chose to stick to the table because the place was so nice.

Disappointing

Location is great, ski in ski out is great, breakfast is fine. Look, the place is a great building that someone put a lot of thought into. The staff try hard. But the issue is this - the management have not engaged the staff and are cold and distant. They run it like a package resort and that permeates every interaction. So you miss the personal touch, any sense of you as a customer and any engagement at all. We had multiple times where we realised that if we just used it as a drive in drive out, ski in, ski out resort hotel, it was fine. But if you wanted any sense you were in an Austrian ski hotel where you room number would eventually be known by your waiters, your meal table would not be randomly changed every two days or you would be forgotten for bringing the dinner (and many other things I can mention) then you would be a bit disappointed. So we had a reasonably good time but would not return nor recommend it. For the money you can have a more fulfilling experience elsewhere.

Goog hotel, good location, poor room allocation.

Good hotel, in good location. What I don’t understand is why we were given rooms overlooking the loading bay of the hotel. The hotel was nearly empty, but we still had to put up with the rubbish being collected at 5am and other v early deliveries on other days. When a hotel is so empty, why don’t the hoteliers use up better rooms first? Surely they don’t think they are going to get a last minute 50 room booking?

Service was poor, staff was very friendly and worked very hard but we didn’t get served for a very long time on numerous occasions and many other guests had the same experience, everything else was great.

Disappointing!

The hotel was in a great location. Food was good. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean. Staff tried to assist with queries as best as they could.

The double king bed booked were 2 singles just pushed together with 2 separate bedding. The sauna only opened from 3-7pm and never worked! Children were unsupervised in the pool area and ran amuck! Website states NO pets but we had a huge dog in the room next door! Staff in the dining room had no set tables to waiter so were all over the place and orders were wrong or never came until asked for again. Christmas eve music was a band outside in the cold for an hour and nothing more. The tables were not even decorated for Christmas dinner. Definitely more effort could have been made for festivities. Music and atmosphere on the ski slopes was great even though the snow wasn't. Not value for money!
