Stunning property, in need of new chef

Gorgeous property - small, boutique hotel with stunning, high-end design. Super clean and comfortable! Very kind and friendly staff. The spa area is small, but lovely. The dining area has an awesome view out to the lake.

The "chef", "lady Mara", has no place in the kitchen. We had dinner there the night of our arrival, and I got terrible food poisoning and ended up in a hospital. My husband tried her eggs the following morning, and found them severely overcooked.

Stunning property.

Architecturally and aesthetically stunning property with the views and location to match. Beautiful furniture and interior design throughout. Good parking facilities. Summer card included. Nice breakfast/dinner and friendly staff.

No kettle or tea/coffee etc. In room. No air conditioning. Communication and information could have been much better at the start of our stay, this would have explained why certain rules and restrictions are in place. Past issues with certain guests has meant the rooms are being monitored without knowledge or consent (seperate to the cleaning), we found this out first hand which left an uneasy feeling of mistrust and an invasion of privacy. I sympathise with the owners of course (it's a small, family run place) but, again, communication is key.

A spacious modern suite with a stunning balcony view, delicious lovingly prepared

The room decor in modern style, the size of the suite and the balcony with the amazing view. The breakfast was so yummy made with love. Alex was so friendly and helpful. No kids allowed 😈

There was no kettle in the room and we asked for it they said they stopped giving to residents for misused! The dinner was until 7:45pm, we couldn’t benefit for timing and we didn’t choose the food it’s a set menu everyday changes. There was bad smell in the room from the drain, they fixed it the next day. The room light was too dim for my comfort.

My time in Zell am See was unforgettable, and a big part of that is thanks to the wonderful experience I had at Senses Violett Suites. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and genuinely cared for. The hospitality was outstanding—every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the entire atmosphere was calm, elegant, and inviting. I want to especially thank Alex 2, who went above and beyond every single day. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made a real difference in our stay. He was always there with a smile, helpful suggestions, and a genuine kindness that made us feel truly at home. A big thank you also to Chef Mara, whose cooking was simply amazing—each dish was full of flavor and heart. And of course, to Anastasia, the lovely owner, whose vision and personal care are felt in every corner of the hotel. Senses Violett isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience that makes Zell am See even more special. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, peace, and exceptional hospitality.

Unforgettable experience

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were fabulous and it was designed and decorated very nicely . This is without a doubt one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Alex (owner), Alex (chef), Anastasia and the whole staff were friendly and treated us as family. The breakfast was delicious especially the freshly baked croissant. You have your own parking spot, very quiet and classy Neighbourhood, Free wifi. I am pretty sure that I will come back and book the larg family suite next time.

Highly recommended, a bit pricey

The property is a special one, it has a very nice balcony with an amazing view over the lake, the staff were amazing and helpful, the breakfast was always organic and farm grown locally, has parkings.

The property doesn’t provide a kettle to boil water, however, they provide a thermos that you can ask them to fill in certain times, they also have a coffee machine to get hot water from at the basement. It was a bit inconvenient to keep asking for hot water instead of boiling your own, however, the staff offered multiple options and were very nice about it.

Australia loves Zell Am See

Staff, facilities, location and food were fantastic. Both Alex's were very accommodating. Food prepared by the gregarious and friendly Alex was delicious and made with heart. Room was very clean and views of the lake were exceptional. Would visit again. Accessing to town is very quick, either by walking (10 minutes) or via the hotel staff which takes 2 minutes. Highly recommended.

The best hotel for couples, quiet with a nice modern rooms and amazing view on the lake. Alex1 and 2 and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful during the stay. Food was super delicious ( breakfast and dinner )

Breathless view!

Such a beautiful hotel room with an amazing view! Breakfast and dinner was nice too. The woman cooking the foods was amazing, and of course Alex#2 is just an amazing host in the restaurant and very welcoming.

I loved the design of the furniture, it has different styles than other hotels/appatments. The staff were so friendly, especially Mr. Alex and Mis. Mara, They did breakfast for us and dinner and the service is fabulous! The bar on the third floor has an amazing view the leak of Zell am See

Absolutely fabulous experience. Thanks Alex and his wife (the owners) for the lovely welcoming, and for curating every asoect to the detail. Thanks to the other Alex and his lady (bar/restaurant) for looking after the meals and drinks, making sure all is deliciously prepared and served. The whole complex is designed and built while stylishly combining contemporary elements and materials. The room/suite is very spacious, comfortably accommodating 3 adults. The views on the lake are beautiful. The in-house sauna is highly recommended. Breakfasts are fantastic, and so are the dinners. Great selection of wines and cocktails. The indoor garage is fabulous, as are the heated lockers for ski equipment. Can and will highly recommend this boutique suites hotel.

The Senses Violet suites is a fantastic place to stay.

The Senses Violet suites is a fantastic place to stay, The rooms are very modern,comfortable & clean, they have Clarins products in the shower & a separate toilet area, they have balcony or terraces with amazing views over the lake. The restaurant is ran by a lovely Croatian couple Alex the host and Mara the chef, the meals are a set menu with a vegetarian choice but they are beautiful and well presented. The breakfast was fantastic with choices from Granola to eggs however you like them. Cheese and meats platter and a choice of fresh breads,any type of coffees & teas. Every morning the Manager also Alex took us to the ski lifts and picked us up in the evening, he even took us to the train station after we checked out
