Homely, clean and comfortable b&b perfect for a short break or week long skiing

The b&b was extremely clean, in all areas. House keeping made beds and tidied room daily. Communal areas were spotless and well maintained. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, which can be ordered the evening before. All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Check-in was effortless, having already entered the information online and the location was very good. A few minted to the city-xpress lifts and about 6 minute walk into the centre of town.

The communal toilet was an issue- if I was to stay again I’d opt for a room with its own en-suite (there were none available for our stay). In the morning, we waited up to 30 minutes plus to be able to use the toilet, which is not ideal! I’m not sure how many rooms share this one toilet but I feel that it is just not suffice for the volume of people. On another note though, this area was very clean and well maintained.

Loved the location, and facilities in the communal areas, beds were comfy, apartment had a nice lounge and dining area, staff were helpful and welcoming

Fair Price Great Management Friendly Sweet Cats!

Great price for a ski resort in January. Friendly professional staff. a 3 min walk from the main ski lift out of Zell. The friendly cats were a nice touch!

The staff were excellent, the apartment was spacious and had a great view; everything a traveler needs was available. The experience was fantastic and I will definitely stay here again.

The only minor issue is that the bathroom needs better ventilation.

Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel with helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean, had a nice balcony with mountain view and was equipped with everything what’s needed. Very close to the ski lift.

It would be nice if the hotel had a regular breakfast as an option. The lift does not take you all the way up to your floor.

Real comfort in Zell am See

I received a very organised personal letter before checking in, which showed me everything I need to know. The accommodation is clean throughout, in a perfect location, with a nice view from the balcony, in a quiet setting.

Very modern hotel with nice rooms. Family and staff were very friendly. Plenty of parking space.

Great location. Short walk to the lake shore. Balcony with nice view. Our room was with a shared bathroom. The shower and toilet rooms were separate. No problem accessing them. Very clean. Friendly and efficient staff.

Dedicated and nice family operated Gasthaus. Comfortable and feel like home. They upgraded my room to double room which is comfortable to stay. Will come back again.

Thoughtful Accommodation, wonderful manager.

Staff were excellent, very generous and accommodating. Small room but great to have a balcony even though not really a scenic view was lovely to sit out there. They have thought of everything with honour system for common area use and some goods you can buy including a great coffee machine. We found being able to use washer and dryer in common area for much smaller fee than laundromat very helpful.

The staff is incredibly thoughtful, thorough and respectful, the place is very clean and in a great location. Lovely amenities and small details throughout.

The cleaniless (or lack thereof) of other guests, absolutely no fault of Haffner. Since I had a room with a shared toilet and shower. I could tell guests were smoking in their rooms, and left some facilities in subpar conditions.

This is a guesthouse and priced accordingly. Minimal services are provided by the location as such which made it a bit more challenging for our traveling family.

Relaxing place

I have had an amazing time at Gastehause Karl Gattner. Exactly what I was looking for. Quiet location with wonderful views and the sound of the little river near by. Was very tired when I arrived but had such a good sleep,as the bed was very comfortable. Got me ready for all the hiking next day. Staff was very friendly with a big smile on their faces, always ready to help. I do recommend this place. Thank you!
