Really great place to stay

This was a really nice place to stay. The breakfast was great, very clean, the staff very friendly & it's at a great location with just a short walk to the town centre and located next to the city express ski lift.

I can't think of any negatives. If I come back to Zell am see, I'll probably stay here again.

Perfect spot for a ski holiday.

Property was in the perfect location. Right next to the gondola up the mountain but also only a block away from restaurants and bars. The owners and their staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful with setting up reservations. The sauna was a welcome treat after a day of skiing.

Most friendly and professional staff , perfect location, incredible vibe and fairly priced exceptional Hotel.

From the time we arrived to the time we left it was just amazing. The owners Elizabeth and Stefan were so so friendly and hands on. They went out of their way to make a difference and enhance our trip. Lilly and Agnes from the restaurant and bar were also fantastic. It was spotlessly clean. Poor and Sauna were awesome. Ski in and location right on slopes by the ski lift is so convenient. I would not stay anywhere else but here .

Perfect hotel for our ski holiday with amazing staff!

Perfect location, right beside the Gondola. Close to restaurants. Very clean. Bedrooms were very modern. The staff were the highlight! Everybody was so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic hotel. Would highly recommend. The SPA was great too, nothing like a nice hot sauna after a day skiing in the freezing cold.

An exceptional family atmosphere. You can feel the strong bond among the staff, who work together like one big family. Unforgettable was the time spent with Duško, the hotel maintenance worker, who has been working at the hotel for more than 30 years, as has his wife.

from the moment of arrival the staff were brilliant. used the shuttle bus to the restaurant, and back, the first evening in a thunderstorm. the owner drove as well. Room with a balcony overlooking the town an added bonus

Excellent hotel near the city center of Zell am See

Walking distance to the city center (5 minutes) and next to one or the cable cars. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was excellent! The room was spacious and the bathroom modern with everything I needed. The summercard is a big bonus and saves you a lot of money if you plan on doing some things in the area. Almost all the cable cars are free in both Zell am See and Kaprun and many of the gorges as well!

Personally I like to sleep with the window open, but it can be a bit noisy outside with guest coming back late, deliveries coming early etc. This impacted my sleep a bit, but this might also depend on which room you have.

A place ot come back to again and again.

Location is directly on the lift and the hotel can be accessed directly from the slopes. Very central and walking distance to the center and very good restaurants. Amazing hosts, very heartfelt and attentive. Excellent team, excellent breakfast, very nice and comfortable rooms.

The hotel is trying to make money in an incorrect way

Unfortunately, the hotel is trying to make money in an incorrect way when you stay in a 2-bed room with a child. When you check in, the information on the booking says that the third person-child in the rooms (not the cheapest rooms in the hotel) is free. And then the hotel finds ways to charge for third person. I did not receive any response to a written message, where I tried to clarify this a few days before arrival. There are a number of other minor comments, cleaning is rare (once every 2-3 days), the elevator did not work for a couple of days, the light went out 2-3 times, the pool did not work almost the entire time of our visit, etc. But this was not as critical for us as the additional bill at check-out. Therefore, it is better to clarify everything with this hotel in advance so as not to get into unpleasant situations with additional payments.

Superb

The Hotel is located in the best place in town, getting out of the Hotel with your ski straight to the lift. Staff are great. Breakfast is very tasty and diverse. Rooms are big, room for 3 adults is fine. Great Spa with Sauna and pool. Ski room that warms your shoes and gloves over night. Close to restaurants, grocery and shopping.

The bathroom in the room was a bit small, but beside that, nothing!

Greatly recommended hotel in Zell-am-See!!

Das Sporthotel Alpin is a WONDERFUL family-run hotel ideally located in the attraction-packed Zell-am-See, 3 minutes from the small bus terminal 8 minutes from the train station but not right in the noisy center. It is very clean and renovated with touches of tradition and the lake-view room with balcony was amazing. The owners are very welcoming. They gave me all the information I needed about activities and even gave me a short ride to the train station with my heavy suitcase. The breakfast had many options and they make eggs to order along with the fresh waffle maker. The saunas and small indoor pool are great to relax after a long hiking or skiing day and one of the cable cars is right next to the hotel! From May to September you also get the tourist card which is a huge bonus! I actually already want to go back to this hotel tomorrow!!!
