The location & view from the breakfast room

The fact that my room didn't have a view of the cathedral as the photo showed it when I made the booking. I didn't realise I should have made a special request.

Good location. Good for one night’s stay not more.

Location good right by the metro station but there was extensive building work outside. The receptionist (Joelle) was very friendly and super helpful!

The double bed was very small (140cm?) and not suitable for a deluxe room.

Nice location, but sleeping could be more comfortable

The location is excellent, well connected to the city and university, and very close to a supermarket. The room was very clean and spacious.

Unfortunately, the pillow was very flat and empty and the blankets to heavy for a warm September month, so I did not sleep well. Sometimes in the morning you could smell the odor from the kitchen.

Have had better for less even in Switzerland

Staff was nice and the location in Lausanne is easily reachable.

I could not check in my room at 15:00 and had to wait, the room was kind of smelly and directly faced another house. There is a huge building site right in front and it’s dirty outside. I would be ok with that if it was not 150€ a night.

Typical chain hotel standards. Windows open. View towards cathedral and old town. Next to the metro station.

Quite small room with small tv. No aircon unfortunately in the heat wave, just ceiling fan and desk fan.

Apart from the good central location it was very disappointing and best to avoid during summertime. Poor value for money

Location

No air conditioning so boiling hot in the room and almost impossible to sleep. The room was a bit run down and maintenance poor. Proximity of a church so with early loud bell every hour.

Good location with easy access to transit. No AC in the rooms.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were a decent size for 3 people. There was a wine bar in the basement with AC that was a nice respite from the lack of AC in the rooms. The location is safe and near the old town. There is a Coop across the street which we visited for breakfast and snacks. The area is safe. The metro station is very convienent with a stop next to the hotel.

The rooms do not have AC which was an issue for us as we stayed during the June/July 2025 Euopean heat wave. There is a small fan and the windows open but it was still oppressively hot in the room.

Perfect Stay - Beautiful Room

Our room was tastefully decorated with windows opening onto a view of the cathedral. The room was well appointed with comfortable beds and quality bed linen, beside table and lights, desk, room safe, comfortable seats. The receptionist desk staff are friendly and helpful. We were given a 3 day metro pass which was a real benefit. The hotel is located next to Bessieres metro.

Nothing but here are some hints for your stay. If arriving by train take the metro to the hotel - the town is very hilly. Recommend you book a room with a view of the cathedral as otherwise you will be on the street side.

Location is excellent beside the metro stop. We made good use of the transit passes.

The room refridgerator was not cold. The tub shower was a little awkward to get into. A walkin shower would be better.

Fantastic stay.....

Had an amazing stay and will be returning at some point. We would highly recommend it to others. Great location to lausanne and the Metro station. Free travel pass is a nice addition to the accommodation. We didn't have breakfast so are unable to comment and didn't use other facilities such as the bar or the spa areas....

Not what we didn't like but our room, our bathroom door didn't shut properly and the shower was temperamental as the shower head kept swinging to the side so we had to hold it in the centre with one hand...

Great location, close to old town, restaurants and bars and next to a metro stop. Spacious rooms and nice modern bathrooms. Very clean

The entrance was a bit confusing to find as some signs/labels still indicate City Hotel. Corridors in the first floor can become noisy during breakfast time.

The location. The hotel placed a ventilator in the room (thank you for that) and earplugs, which was needed with the loud noise from the street when the window was open.

It was LOUD! Exceptionally hot but you could not keep windows open because of the noise from the street!

- No A/C (it was abnormally hot on our visit), but a fan was provided - Not really the hotel’s fault, but the neighborhood was extremely noisy (drunken chaos) until the early morning

Great location, very close to the cathedral, with stunning views from our bedroom of the city and lake. Great selection of channels on the television, very comfortable beds and pillows, good strength shower and right next to the metro station.
