Great value for money

City center close to the metro, good parking near by, all at your feet. A lot of restaurants around, easy to move to the pedestrian area plus lake front.

Lovely hotel with chocolate perks

Excellent value for the money. Bed was very comfy, and the room was very nicely decorated. Parking was offsite at a public garage that was a 5-minute (uphill) walk away (with a 50% discount provided by the hotel). Highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were helpful… Until they weren’t!

The place was very clean. I thought the chocolate fountain in the lobby was fun. The staff were friendly and helpful.

When I went to bed, I decided to watch TV. But no one has checked the remote as the batteries needed changing. I rang reception and was told that I would have to go down there and pick up some batteries. I explained that I was in bed but was told that she could not leave reception. I thought there must be someone who could bring up some batteries. I was not able to watch TV.

Very cool chocolate themed hotel. The room was super spacious and clean, and there was a nice view from the balcony. Also the chocolate fountain in the lobby was awesome!

Ok but Not Great

On the whole not a terrible hotel. It however suffered, from my trip's perspective, that it was sandwiched between two amazing hotels that provided more than expected. As for this hotel, I found the can't fault its cleanliness and security. Location was also good, a stones throw from the train station.

Room size was a little small. We booked a triple room but there wasn't much by way of floorspace to allow you to move around without hindering each other. The bathroom is separate from the toilet but it then creates two very small spaces. The hotel has a peculiar layout for breakfast that splits the food/drink between the reception desk and seating area. A bit odd. The hotel has a single lift that is seldom free when you need it and darkly decorated corridors which create extremely dark spaces, they also have motion sensor lights that mean you walk in a dark space until the sensor picks you up. Not the best when are navigating the room cleaners in a narrow corridor.

Definitely recommend

Reasonably easy to get to as the Metro is only 100 meters away. Friendly and helpful staff, loved the chocolate on arrival and the chocolate fountain in the foyer (which smelt deliciously of chocolate) Decent sized rooms with comfy beds and pillows. A fair walk to the town square and of course a Metro ride to the waterfront.

Even if i dont want, room cleaning service has come everyday even easter sunday morning 10.00 am! They awaken me! Also bathroom is very small and sink is near the door of whole room instead of inside of the bathroom. Kitchen facilities are weak. Not enough kitchen utensils and no oven or microwave. The main problem is that there is no refrigerator in the room. Just insufficient and very small minibar! If the room has kitchenette, there would be a office type refrigerator in it. We could not put our meals into that xs minibar! Also room temperature is terrible. When we enteres the room, the window was open and room was too cold. Air conditioning didnt work. We asked reception and they said we can give just blankets… Other days, room was terribly hot and did not cool because air condition also did not work. However, because of the april weather we managed it but in summer there will be a problem..

Nice hotel but way too expensive for what is offered

The location was good. The bathroom was clean and the shower was big.

The room was small and the ventilation didn’t work very well. The room was hot and the price per night was really high. The hotel is not bad but it cost over 300 francs per night for a small room in a standard 4 star hotel.

Lovely stay near the cathedral and close to Metro stops

The location was absolutely fantastic. The hotel was in between two metro lines and with stunning views to lake Leman! The interior of the rooms absolutely fantastic. Also I loved that they provided a free transport card for metros and buses!

Weekend visit

The location is great and the room is quite big and comfortable.

Breakfast is at the reception food is exposed for everyone getting in or out from the hotel. When bread was missing the stuff said it's not gonna be refilled and you can go to the other hotel to have breakfast. Strange vibe. But the food itself was quite good. After checking in no one informed us how to get in to the hotel at night since the reception is not open. We didn't get at the check in the free public transport tickets, I had to ask if they have something like that on the day after. The shower stream was low and waved between hot and cold the whole time. We asked for upper floor room and we kindly got it so that might be the reason.

I highly recommend this hotel!

Great hotel in the best area of Lausanne, Switzerland. Close to all the attractions, restaurants and the water. The Staff were all very friendly and would always check you had everything you needed. The hotel and rooms are clean and nicely designed. Spacious bathroom with good hairdryer and magnifying mirror! :) The chocolate fountain at the reception was a nice touch, which is a testament to the Swiss' love for their world-famous chocolates. Proximity to metro and free travel tickets made it very easy to get around. Would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a good stay, good food and hospitality. It was a comfortable stay overall.

Pleasant stay

The hotel was located in the city centre and the staff at the reception was very nice and helpful in providing necessary info. The theme of the hotel was chocolaty. We parked at Mon Repos parking. The hotel provided a 50% coupon and we paid 15 CHF for 24h. Additionally, the hotel also provided us with a 1 day travel pass for free (this was probably a scheme from the local city) Overall, it was a good stay.

Good location

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was in an excellent location. Easy to get from and to the metro. Good connections to train station, lake and cathedral. Bed was very comfortable.

Would have been good to be informed prior to arrival, about the renovations being done in the hotel. When people leave or enter their rooms, the doors slam and it happened quite often. Became disruptive in the evening. Would have been nice to have a second chair in the room.

Nice, modern rooms, very friendly staff and a chocolate fountain in the lobby.

It was still under construction, the lobby and hall we stayed in wasn’t finished, work going on in the morning, paint buckets etc in the elevator bf check out time, reception not staffed for check out, due to that nobody took care of a very annoyingly sounding ‚pre alarm‘ all morning…

A great option for affordable stay in Lausanne.

Great location, proximity to metro and free travel tickets made it very easy to get around. Chocolate fountain in reception was a nice touch. Room upgrade was appreciated

The property is under renovation. Needs more regular hoovering and sweeping to clear up the mess. The main door to the suite didn’t work (was fixed the day we left) so had to keep rooms closed separately. Chocolate fountain was left unattended and looked a bit grim once it was left with half melted chocolate in it.
