Clean, warm and confort

The kitchen had everything we needed - including a dishwasher, microwave, oven etc. The dining table was large and we had great mountain views from the "penthouse" apartment. There is a bus stop right across the street which is very convenient without a car, and is necessary because the facility is not close to anything. There is a market as described but it is straight up an enormous hill - so only went once! The bathroom has a large soaking tub. The staff were very pleasant and did their best to assist us.

The initial room we were in (supposedly with a lake view - had just a sliver through the trees) was small and the only furniture to sit on were 2 very uncomfortable chairs. Two uncomfortable stools at a small counter was the only option for eating. After two nights we asked to move and paid a LOT more for the "penthouse". While there was significantly more space and better views (mostly mountains, very little lake still), the bed and pillows were also uncomfortable. The only furniture to sit on besides uncomfortable dining chairs was a well worn sofa - also not comfortable. The only source for air are two very small windows - one in the bedroom and one in the living room. But to open them meant hearing a LOT of road noise. The facility is right on a major road with substantial traffic. I had to go buy ear plugs because sleeping was impossible. Some sort of flying beetles also came in as there were no screens on the windows. There was no ventilation system in the bathroom which means airing out that room (from shower or toilet use) has to happen over the bed to the little window. And the light from the bathroom shines right on the bed - it is a glass door so no way to avoid disturbing someone sleeping. The soaking tub/shower combo has a very high rim with no safety handles which made getting in and out of it difficult and risky. The Booking site said there was a restaurant on site but it has been closed for some time which we had counted on. We paid over $5000 for two weeks of this - so to say we are disappointed is an understatement.

The room, although not so big, was quite comfortable and well-furnished. The location was perfect for people who would like to go to the beach. The hotel is very close (a few minutes by walking) to a public beach where you can swim. We also appreciated that there is a gym in the hotel, which we were able to use during our stay.

One thing we did not like was that there was no cleaning service on the weekend. Since our visit was from Friday to Tuesday, we were not able to get our room cleaned until Monday, which was a little disappointing.

Room was spacious and well connected to the public transport system

I travelled with a friend and we shared a room to save money. The bathroom door is part frosted and adjacent to the beds so it's fairly clear what's happening in the bathroom from outside. We improvised a solution for better privacy during our stay but I'd strongly advise frosting the door completely for future guests (e.g. those travelling for business and sharing a room)

That it has kitchen, and also they did automate a lot of processes. Groceries & bus stop are close enough. Also close to the Vidy beach 🏖️

When visiting during the weekend, hard to manage some easy-looking topics like city tax payment. Cash? Maybe we shall try QR codes / payment links sent by email for payment instead?

Location and clean

Quite sterile but did what I needed. Better soap/ toiletries.
