The booking experience through Agoda was a disaster, and cost me an hour of work, and caused me to have to cancel a meeting on the night of my arrival! First, the hotel requested additional information through a message in Agoda, but the links to fill in the information were removed from the message they sent, so there was no way to give them the data they wanted. I contacted them to give them the information by email, but they said no reservation was in their system, and it seemed the reservation was 'not valid'. I was told had to check what went wrong. I contacted Agoda, who then clarified it with them, and suddenly they could find my reservation. Then when I arrived, they requested I pay the stay before giving me the key -- even though it had already been paid through Agoda. I protested, but they insisted I pay again with my credit card, stating they would refund it once I clarified this with Agoda. So I had to contact Agoda again, and like previously, they suddenly found my prepayment. Now all I have to do is to wait up to 8 days for the money to be refunded. What's infuriating is that I was the one who had to solve all these problems, spending an hour with Agoda support, and missing a meeting because of it. The front desk made no attempt to contact the booking platform either time. The technical issues with Agoda integration is one thing, but the unwillingness of the staff to look into it is really disappointing.
