    Wonderful location, as advised by a FB group re accommodation. Leon at Reception is a great employee - and needed this recognition. Wonderfully clean room. Comfy beds and great breakfast choices. The view of the cathedral of an evening is a bonus. Book it, and you wont be disappointed.

    I arrived on a sweltering 29°C day to discover the hotel had no air conditioning. My first-floor room faced a busy street, making it impractical to open the windows for ventilation — leaving me entirely reliant on a fan kindly loaned by the front desk. While I appreciated the gesture, it was far from adequate in that heat. More concerning was the state of the room’s security: the door chain was missing entirely, making it impossible to secure the room from the inside. As a pregnant solo traveller, this left me feeling genuinely unsafe. When I raised the issue and requested a room change, I was told this wasn’t possible because I had already entered my room — a policy I found both puzzling and dismissive of a legitimate safety concern. To top it off, the bathroom sink was leaking throughout my stay. I hope management takes these issues seriously, particularly the missing door chain, which is a basic safety feature that should be non-negotiable for any guest.

    This is quite common that no aircon in the hotel rooms in Switzerland. If open the windows then can hear the loud traffic noise on the street.

    Do ask for your Tourist travel pass. They forgot to give it to us. Otherwise everything was fine.
