Lovely location, close to beach. The patio was divine when the wind was blowing, and the patio furniture was comfortable.

Extremely noisy construction all around the property. Sometimes carrying on from early in the morning 7am and until well after 7pm at night. The owners fully aware of this ( and in all likelihood complicit, as they own a few properties around that area, should have ensured that visitors were aware of the noise levels and discounted the stay for weeknights substantially to make up for this. In addition to this, the kitchen could really do with a revamp. If you are staying for a few nights like we did, and prefer not eating out a few meals a day, this is not for you. Both showers leaked extensively, and the tap in upstairs bathroom dripped as well. This is by no means a cheap mid-week stay, it is expensive. Having to deal with the noise in addition to this was just not cool. Hosts need to handle this situation better.

A hidden gem

Loved that it's literally a 1 minute walk to the beach. The main upstairs bedroom has doors leading to a small balcony that is perfect for a morning cup of coffee. And of course the lovely outside area with private splash pool. Owner also provided us with ample information about the area and surrounds. Friendly and relaxing experience over all.

That we had to leave! There are bushes and shrubs that are a bit sparse in some spots by the pool area so not as private as some may prefer, but really just nitpicking here, for us it was perfect!

Great weekend away, guaranteed 👌

Our short stay was a blast as usual. We love Hocus Pocus as it has a unique character and resembles Paternoster so well. It is cozy, comfortable, and in a very peaceful and quiet area where you can really recharge your batteries. The beach is a minute walk away and wonderful to explore. The little backyard with deck is great for enjoying your coffee and enjoying a good book while listening to the birds. The cottage is neat and clean and has everything you need for a great, relaxing stay.

Nothing to not like. Maybe some of the beds need a new matress😊

Lovely location /cute deck off the main room and lovely patio off the lounge/ Comfortable cottage to enjoy some downtime. Perfect off street parking and a good host. Great places to eat close by.

Very good location in the best part of Paternoster. Located a bit further from the busy centre and is probably a better option if you are concerned about petty crime. Although the view from the main bedroom on top does not have a clear view of the sea, it is acceptable as you can still see the sea between the typical paternoster-style houses.

The only complaint is that I could not stay longer.
