We enjoyed our stay. First time in Paternoster, will definitely visit again

Location was perfect, a few meters from the beach. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.

The security at the house was minimal and it was a bit worrying. Glass door, no security gate but we had a great weekend.

We enjoyed our stay, being a 2 minute walk to the beach. You can occasionally hear the waves from the place. We appreciated the change of linen and towels and the ability to bring along our dogs, who were comfortable and happy to go on daily beach walks. The unit has all the crockery and utensils you need for a self catering stay.

The place is situated below another unit above you. The movement of the people staying above can become very disruptive. I brought it to the attention of the property manager that we had a bad nights rest on the first night because of it. She was friendly and said she’d chat to the people staying there. It lessened but every movement of chairs, dropping of things and even using the toilet can be heard. When the people in the connected unit parallel to the place also were outside, you’d hear their conversations. The latter wasn’t frequent, but can also hinder complete privacy. This should be noted if you opt to stay there. Some things are also a little tired / worn, but it was nothing that made us feel uncomfortable.

Think a bag of wood would have been nice as the accommodation was cold in August, and no sun due to its position. Think some soap provided in the shower would have been nice Maybe a heating panel or two would have warmed up the rooms a bit. Frontdoor difficult to open, rusted for some time according to previous occupants Lock to door to get to the beach needs replacing. rusted - sea air. Friendly staff to change our sheets and hand keys back. Never saw the host again.

Everything was neat, comfortable, and clean. No loadshedding is a huge plus. It was exactly what we needed. We will most definitely go again.

The only thing that was irritating was when we were peaceful in the lounge, you could hear the guests on the floor above us, chopping wood.

Magic in Paternoster

If you haven't stayed at Mosselbank Beach Retreat you loose out. Stunning location, beach within a 2minute walk, all the privacy one wish for. The apartment is spacious, decor superb and our host Glen was awesome. Only place I will ever book when visiting Paternoster

Loved the decor. Beautiful modern and contemporary. Well equipped. Loved the crockery and the appliances.

Quality of the toilet paper not good. No tissues. Pillows can be softer. The noise upstairs was unbearable.

The Host Glenn was absolutely superb and friendly - made us felt at welcome completely - even shared info on which restaurants are great ect ect - even what to do where, when and how ect, and this kind of interaction is appreciated and add value to the stay here. We immediately felt at home. WHAT A PLACE TO STAY !!!!!

Gem in Paternoster

Received a great welcome from Glen who took us through the apartment. Beautifully clean, crisp sheets, every comfort required, excellent advice on Restaurants and activities. Evelyn was wonderful with cleaning and did our laundry. Great location and wonderful courtyard to lounge and braai. Bonus that we could book in early and that they were dog friendly.
