Lovely weekend in Skipskop

Was skeptical about Skipskop because of the ratings received. But was pleasantly surprised- there is nothing wrong with this beautiful house and it was clean.

Layout of house is different. Stairs to upper level will definitely be a challange to elderly people.

Stressful and not as expected with one guest having to sleep on the floor.

Close to the beach

It was 4 bedrooms and not 5 as advertised. We had a robbery in the first night and another attempted robbery on the third night.

Great time with our friends and we got the best weather over Easter. Definitely worth it!

We loved our stay at Skip Skop. Paternoster is such a beautiful town. Beds were clean and comfortable, kitchen was was well stocked with all the necessities. Also it was a bonus the fridge made ice and there was a dishwasher. All our guests had a good time. We never felt unsafe, but were still vigilant of our belongings at the property when coming and going.

The description of a 5th room isn't accurate. There is a landing with 2 built in day beds which is probably fine for kids, but it was unfair to our friend who wasn't able to have a private room. The property only has 4 rooms. Also the shower head was a bit all over the place in the 2 bathrooms. Overall we were really comfortable.

House near the ocean

The house had everything we needed. The children loved it as it was walking distance to the ocean. Will definitely return in the summer

Honestly a beautiful stay, Infact we want to book the house again

The house is big, well designed with good utensils in the kitchen, It feels like home. Very close to the beach so a plus Loved the outside braai area with a deck. It has a farmhouse feel which is awesome

This is not what we didnt like but a suggesstion: LoadShedding was not great especially having limited loadshedding lights available. Having backup would be great, I know its expensive but worth it in the long run

Pleasant

If issues that are easily resolved (like properly cleaned cutlery and utensils and braai goodies) were taken care of, this would be a top notch accommodation. Great braai area, spacious enough for a group, great location and decently priced.

Although the house is spaceous, well decorated and wonderfully located, it feels as though there has been little to no care put into it of late. Most of the cutlery was not properly cleaned, the bottom bedroom smelled of damp and had cockroaches in the shower, the braai grids etc were filthy, there were nowhere near enough fans considering how hot the house gets and the dishwasher tripped the electricity when trying to use it. The basin in the downstairs bedroom's bathroom was also loose and moved if placing hand on edge while brushing.
