This place is amazing! I rented the cabin with the private pool and it also had an outdoor shower and bathtub (both with hot water). The actual cabin is amazing, with a nice kitchen area, comfy bedroom, nice bathroom and a small living room with a wonderful view. The views in general are stunning. This is a lovely place to relax and enjoy nature while still staying in a comfortable cabin. I recommend bringing mosquito repellent, as there are a lot of mosquitos, but this did actually not bother us much, as there is a mosquito net over the bed.

There’s a gravel road and it’s a bit steep. Not ideal for normal cars. Should be advised when booking the tents.

Leopard Valley is beautiful and a great little hideaway. Everything was perfect and it was well equipped. The staff were super. It was just blissful!

The veiw was incredible.
We slept amazing.
And we recharged well.
We had a lovely stay at Leopard Valley Eco Retreat. The view is breathtaking, the setting peaceful, and we slept really well.
That said, there are some serious issues that future guests should be aware of. The outdoor shower has no door or privacy screen, so hikers on the nearby trail can see straight in — very uncomfortable. The retreat advertises a jacuzzi but doesn’t make it clear that you have to buy firewood separately to use it. Firewood is R50 a bag on site or a 36-minute drive away, which feels like advertising lights but then charging extra for electricity.
Lastly, the kitchen bin had melted holes and some utensils (like the egg spatula) had clear signs of rat damage. For the price of the stay, these are basic things that should be fixed and maintained.
The location is beautiful, but these issues took away from what could have been an excellent experience.
