We couldn’t have breakfast as it ended at 10 and we had an appointment at visa centre and were 5 months late.
There was no hot water in the early morning around 6.30.. also as mentioned above we couldn’t have the breakfast and it was disappointing.

The one staff member the young man on the desk was a pleasure to deal wit. The rest of the staff made you feel like a nuisance and you were bothering them to do their job.
We're to start.
I went on a trip for 3 day with my 16 year old daughter and we were looking forward to it as it was a nice break away. We didnt expect red carpet treatment but we expected the same as every other hotel. So this isnt coming from a place of bitterness but from a father who wanted to enjoy a city break with his daughter and was left very disappointed.
Our rooms heating was broken when we got there at approx 3 pm so I asked reception to send someone to look at it.
She me it will come on later when the heating is in. I told her im a plumber and I checked the pipe and its the heating itself is the issue. She told me she would get someone to look at it.
No one came to look at it the 1st day.
So I went back the 2nd day to the same women and told her no one came to out room so she got a maintenance man who couldnt speak English to look at it. He came in and felt the rad and said its broke. I told him one pipe is luke warm the other isn't he said he will go fix.
Waited fro him to come back for 1 hour and no sign so we went off out as the room was freezing. When we returned that night at approx 8 the heating was still broken so I went to reception and said it again. They offered us to sleep in another row. But we can leave our luggage in the room that was cold.
We refused as we had everything unpacked and put away as we were there for 3 nights.
I asked for extra blankets and a plug in heater.
We got them and used them for the remainder of the trip. It was absolutely freezing in that room.
Also we had to go and ask for out rokm to be serviced the 2nd day as there were no clean towels for showers or beds maid. It eventually got done and on the 3rd day with the new bedding no maids cleaned or came near the room all was done was towels left on my unmaid bed.

The hotel is well-connected to the city, the staff are lovely, and the room was very spacious and spotless. The breakfast was varied and delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Location, cleanliness, staff and breakfast choice was great.
Only gripe was cooked items were a little cold and bacon over cooked.

The friendly, helpful reception staff made our stay a good experience.
Lovely hotel with everything we needed in the room, and the complimentary breakfast was very good. Will definitely stay again when visiting the area.

There was a large range of options for breakfast.

Staff members were very helpful. The bed was very comfy. Haggis every morning 😎. Vegetarian but it was very tasty. Hairdryer was powerful. Bus number 1 and 35 stop at the hotel.
Apart from the delicious Haggis, everything was very simple and boring. ( We were there .5 mornings. ) The cheese was always dry, I think it would be useful to cover it instead of letting it dry out. Same story with the bacon. Every morning it was hard rock. We could imagine more types of cheese, vegetables and salamis.

Not much to be honest apart from location
No windows that open for ventilation, overlooking a block of flats and a double bed for £240 per nights ridiculous price and poor value for money/

Bar lounge area could be improved.

Good localisation, closed to the tramway station linked to the airport. Nice breakfast.
The receptionist’s welcome could be more respectful.

Its location was good 20-30 minute walk to the Christmas markets. Breakfast times were really busy but always managed to get what we wanted. Staff were very quick to clear away and keep tidy. We stayed as a family the rooms weren’t huge but manageable. Bathroom compact but had all the essentials.
We stayed for 2 nights and our beds weren’t made and towels weren’t changed. I’m not so bothered about the beds but the towels are a big one for me.

Great size room with a sofa to sit on rather than just the bed. Could not fault the food at breakfast, all options superb. The location was a bit further from the centre than we would have liked, approx 20 minute walk from west end side of Princes Street which is not too far but when you have been walking around the city all day it feels like miles away and especially if pulling your suitcase with you too.
No baggage storage facility. The bed was noisy, as though a spring was out place, rolled over you got a loud twang noise, woke you in the night when you moved.

Clean and spacious. On a bus route.
No traditional restaurant in the evening. Breakfast area is like a canteen!

Very helpful and pleasant staff. Plenty of parking though trainee staff member didn't explain very well hence having to move car as I parked in the wrong bay. Very good Lebanese restaurant on site.
View from our second floor room of rat infestation in hotel bin area. Horrible! However when reported at reception, very helpful member of staff (?Shamina) came to room promptly, witnessed the problem, and referred the matter urgently to her manager. Later followed up with call to room to reassure us that pest control had been contacted. Can't believe no one else had seen the rats as had to walk through the area to get to reception.
Room was too warm. Must be unbearable in the summer.
Expensive. Disappointingly had to buy toothpaste and toothbrush for friend whose luggage had been stolen on the train. Hotels in this price range usually provide such items for emergency supply.

No safe in room

Location was great for what we needed and had secure parking (which could not be booked so that was a worry)
Breakfast was poor, food overcooked and the ingredients cheap
5.0 / 10.0
The room was lovely. Clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was more akin to a school canteen and the cooled food was passable.
Staff attitude. The online check-in and e-key worked to a level but there was no cards in the room to activate the electricity for the lights etc. On phoning reception, the girl treated me like an idiot with her directions as where to find the cards which weren’t in the room. On having to go to reception she attempted to blame me for not checking in properly and then very smugly handed me the cards. Not good enough!
On the Saturday morning, my wife and I had to check out two days early as my mother had been rushed to hospital and we had to return to Northumberland. The receptionist on this occasion was more concerned about potential refunds which I didn’t ask for at that stage - all I wanted was to check out and book a taxi. She eventually got us a taxi. She did not display one ounce of compassion. Not good enough!
After checking out we continued to get surveys as to how our stay was going and when I enquired as to the possibility of a refund I got a blunt response. I accept that the reservation could not be cancelled once made but surely there should be some recompense for such an eventuality? We are more than £400 out of pocket from what was a very expensive booking in the first place! Not good enough!

Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast "service" was abysmal. We had to clear tables to get a seat both days. Day 1 there was very little choice and we were told on more than one occasion by staff that they had run out of things and they weren't going to be replaced. In defence of the hotel we were in at the peak time for breakfast.

Not enough bathroom hooks to hang towels when reusing

Breakfast had a good variety! The fact that it is included in the price was quite rewarding too! Shame I only stayed for 2 nights :(
Maybe some more vegetarian options if possible. And some complimentary snacks throughout the day?

Overall a nice hotel from which you can have a walk into downtown Edinburgh.
Nothing special, breakfest room was always crowded and a bit windy.

The bedroom was nice, the bed was very comfortable. It's about 30 mins to get to the city of Edinburgh, which was fine. 10 mins away from the train station (Haymarket] from the hotel.
The full English breakfast was very poorly, didn't taste right, and all was really disappointed!

Position: close to the city centre, to the venue of the show we attended and to the airport.
The staff was super nice and welcoming.
The room for three was too small, a cubicle. It was
not clean: we found a dirty teabag in the kettle and one towel was dirty.
Welcome kit in the room insignificant.

The property was sleek and the staff was super accommodating. Lot of restaurants and other activities close by. The beds were amazing and the room was very spacious and neat.
The breakfast was also included in the booking and it was delicious
The door is more of a sliding glass so keep that in mind if you’re sharing the room with someone. Not uncommon for hotels but worth a mention

The location
Very impersonal place.Average breakfast.
8.0 / 10.0
Clean, close to transport into the main attractions, easy walk for more able bodied.
Sofa bed was uncomfortable, breakfast was busy, waiting/ breakfast staff allowed people with designer bags to queue jump, how does that give preferential treatment?
Had to wait for some hot breakfast items to come out but good breakfast.
Staff need to be more aware of items needing to be restocked, breakfast was busy and pastries/ pancakes seemed to take an age to be restocked.

Couldn't work the air con so we were cold thru night
No room service food available

The hotel is clean, the breakfast is very good, and everything is fresh. The rooms are quite small. The bathroom is nice and comfortable. It's well-located for exploring Edinburgh. A plus is the hotel's parking, although it costs extra. It's fine for a short stay.
The windows don't open, only the air conditioning. The room is definitely tiny for three people and three suitcases.
