Enjoyed our stay and amazing value.

The location is amazing and quiet. Bus and tram 2 min from the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were very comfy. And a real coffee machine in the room! The room was also ready earlier.

The bathroom needs a bit of work. Low pressure in the shower and in the toilet makes it a bit difficult.

A happy, comfortable stay.

The room was very clean and comfortable with a good amount of space and light entering the room. The bed was clean and the sheets were soft and the staff did an excellent job with cleaning.

Rude staff & don’t bother asking for any special requests as they don’t get done.

Don’t bother making any special requests as they don’t get done or eve checked if it’s been done. We visited for my partners 30th birthday so I made a special request asking if the hotel would be able to put some balloons in the room. On check in the woman acknowledged the request and said it should be done. Got to the room and nothing was there. Clearly these things don’t get checked over. Very poor. When checking in the woman on reception was rude and was talking over me. I had to say, “Can I finish taking please?” Not impressed by the service received for the money I paid to stay there. Sadly, I don’t think we would return.

Would Not Recommend Staying here

The location is excellent.

The room was very cold as the hearing wasn't working. I advised the staff and nothing was done about it. The windows don't seem to close properly and the wind was blowing the curtains even when they were closed. Very disappointing as we were on the ground floor and could hear every sound outside. The staff in the bar/restaurant wear an awful green t shirt which looks dirty and very unprofessional. Also some staff have nose piercing that should be covered and staff with long hair should wear it tied back and in a hair net. The uniform needs to be reviewed. The air con was blowing out cold air in the bar too and when asked, the staff did not turn it off. The food is only mediocre and again not professionally presented or delivered.

The bed was horrible, two single mattress pushed together with a topper my side had a big dip in it poor sleep for the stay and no carpet in the rooms

Lovely hotel

Value for money and close to train station

Staff were very welcoming on arrival but when leaving I was collecting luggage which was stored in a bedroom and the member of staff just stood and stared at me climbing over other guests luggage and watched as I moved really large heavy bags out of the way to get to my bag. I then tripped over a piece of of luggage and really hurt my ankle but the member of staff just stared at me and didn’t say a word which I found rude

A great hotel, for a great price and great location.

The location is perfect, literally a 2 minute walk to the tram station. It was very clean & the staff were very welcoming, it was such a lovely stay. I’d definitely recommend & will definitely be back.

A perfect stay in a modern, comfortable hotel close to the city centre.

Everything was excellent, the room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, and the car park is right at the back, with plenty of space. Staff were friendly and professional, and the hotel’s location was ideal for exploring Edinburgh.

Great hotel

Hotel is located in a walkable distance to the old town and has many shops, pubs around too. Parking was great, just around the corner and we paid £10 per night which is not bad. Clean room and comfortable bad, would stay there again, thank you.

The bathrooms are dated and in poor condition. A cracked mirror, chipped paint etc etc. I was supposed to have sofas in both rooms but never got them. A coffee machine at breakfast did not work our whole stay, causing delay's at the other machines.

Nice and clean room, everything was set and ready.

We booked a twin bedroom with a sofa bed. Unfortunately, sleeping on the sofa bed for 2 nights was absolutely not ideal- stiffened my back a lot. I couldn’t wait to come back to my bed at home. It was very uncomfortable unfortunately. The main beds were quite good though.

The perfect end to an exhausting cycle ride from the West coast of Scotland to the East. Edinburgh is a wonderful city

There was nothing not to like. Great city location - we were travelling light as we were on cycles but the hotel supplied everything we needed and a secure room for our cycles.

Nothing - we had a perfect overnight stay.

The staff at the reception was very friendly. There is a little coffee machine with coffee tabs provided in the room. Our king-sized bed was decent.

The corridor smelled badly. The carpet in the hallways did not seem clean and there were lots of dust bunnies. The hallways towards the rooms reminded me of some old eastern Germany building interriors (not good). Many things in our room were somewhat outworn. For example, the bathroom door was noisy and lacked paint. The bathroom tub squeaked when you steped into it. The carpet in our room had odd light color stains from bleach or so.

Decent location

Please get newer toilets or fix your old ones. I stayed for three days and twice the toilet stopped flushing. Maintanance fixed it once but it turned out to be temporary and again stopped working. Our last day in this hotel was very uncomfortable. I would strongly suggest getting updated amenities.

I would recommend this hotel for business stay.

It is situated in a convenient location - lots of restaurants and bars, and walking distance to Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile etc.

If you are ever given the room next to the conference room, please decline and ask the front desk to provide an alternative room. The staff, namely Alexander, Will, Carol, and another front desk lady (sorry, her name slips my mind), took great care to find us a better room. The attention they gave to our situation to make our stay better is commendable!

GREAT LOCATION

The hotel was in a great location to access the Old Town and the New Town. Very easy to access almost everything, restaurants, bus, tescos, bars etc. Room was spacious and included iron and board.

On booking in we had discovered the price we paid was for 1 double room, but in the smaller print was only for 1 person. The hotel said it was a booking.com issue, and we had to pay another 30 GBP for the extra person The price was out the gate, but it was all we could find in Jan 25 when booked. The price by the the time we arrived had dropped by over 200 GBP but still had to pay the additional 30 GBP. Staff weren't very friendly over the 5 days we stayed. Pleasant but not friendly
