I had a wonderful stay at the Mercure Haymarket and would not hesitate to return. The location is perfect for exploring the city, with easy access to the main attractions without the noise and bustle of being right in the centre. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond. I turned up early and they kindly checked me in straight away as a room was ready, a small gesture that set a really positive tone for the whole stay. The room itself was comfortable. The facilities were great too, and everything felt well-maintained throughout. The staff remained warm, helpful, and attentive without ever being overbearing. One bonus tip: if you’re a coffee lover, The Coffee Cave is just a three-minute walk away and definitely a must visit! All in all, a five-star experience. Highly recommended whether you are visiting for a weekend break or a longer trip.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the level of service and hospitality I experienced during my recent stay at your hotel. On the first day, we requested two blankets due to the cold temperature in the room and the fact that the heater was not working. However, we were provided with only one blanket. When we asked about the second one, the response we received was that there were not enough blankets and duvets available for guests, which we found unacceptable for a hotel of your standard. On the following day at around 10:00 a.m., we requested a needle and thread. Instead of offering basic assistance, we were told to come down to the reception ourselves to collect them. When we asked whether someone from the staff could kindly bring them to our room, we were informed that there was no one available to do so. This attitude demonstrated a lack of hospitality, courtesy, and guest care. These experiences made our stay uncomfortable and left us with a very negative impression. Please note that this complaint is intended to help improve the quality of services and guest experience at your hotel, and we hope it will be taken constructively. I kindly request that you review these concerns seriously, address the issues with staff training and service standards, and ensure such situations do not happen to other guests in the future.

We had to change our room twice in 3 days as the heating was not working in both our rooms. Staff provided a portable heater at 11pm, an hour after we raised our concerns. They also asked us to check out at 10 pm because they were not willing to solve the heating in our room. Also the phone in our room was a dummy phone, and we had to call from our mobile phone on a number from google to get in touch with the staff. Terrible facilities.
