Comfy enough room if a little small, quiet location which is always good. Not too far from some nice shops and cafes as well as a walk along the canal. Cheaper than most private rooms in Edinburgh but still felt expensive for what it was (but that's Edinburgh in general I think). Overall not bad.
I stay in a lot of hotels and one of my pet hates is a check out before 11am... 10 is just too early! That extra hour makes a lot of difference. There are no staff in the hotel at all, all self check in, could be a pro or con. The private bathroom being across the hall was a bit strange. Top light didn't work in my room.
