No fuss, good location easy access to the town ctre and plenty nearby

Very small toilet space in our room but it was fine

Walkable distance from city center, although not easy. Building old, but in good condition. Clean, with comfortable beds, although we had requested three single beds, so there was not much room left to maneuver. On our first visit we had the benefit of a small kitchen with a minimal assortment of cups, plates etc. As a budget place to sleep, it was perfectly adequate.

I realize staffless accommodation saves costs, but presents serious problems when something goes wrong. Not all travellers have access to wi-fi or 'phones that work locally, and we had to ask a local business to help us download the e-mail with the entry requirements - a problem if arriving late at night. The wi-fi information in the room was incorrect, but we finally located a piece of paper stuck up in the entrance hall with correct details. On our second visit, I could not get that to work either. The kettle in the room may look like a stylish design, but is incredibly dangerous - I was badly burned by the steam when pouring boiling water.

The location was good. The walk into town was easy and pleasant and the keys easy to find and store once the code had been provided.

Before arrival I asked if there was somewhere to store our bags prior to the check-in time and was told yes, I could leave them in the hallway. I advised we would arrive around 7am. I called and messaged once arrived and did not receive the necessary codes until 1pm which completely neglected the need to drop our bags early which was a shame. The room was reasonably clean although dusty on the top shelves and the carpet was dirty. All of the chest of drawers provided either had broken fronts or no bottoms to put anything in. 2 of the beds had stained linen/pillowcases. I had to ask for the towels and toilet paper to be changed/replenished mid-week. I had to request an extra mug and glass as only 2 had been provided for a three-person room. I also had to ask for a bath mat as the shower hit the floor through the curtain. The shower curtain was far too long for the shower. It couldn't be draped outside the base as the floor got wet, but inside it blocked the drain for the water to run away. The shower went from cold to tepid to boiling hot at will and there was no way to control it. Some days we just cold showered, or showered at the gym. The blinds were impossible to open so we didn't try again. There was an exposed light fixing. Good location, massively overpriced for the quality received, sadly.
