We enjoyed our stay at Adam Drysdale house because it was handy to buses and an easy walk to the attractios of the city

Terrible experience.

Very small bed

Staff very bad. We exposed the problem prior to arrival , called someone on the phone who made me wait 30 minutes, could have solved the problem, but still we had to find another hotel to spend the night when we were extremely tired. Made our stay extremely uncomfortable. We had to pay another hotel when we had already paid for everything in advance

Nice and quiet room for a short stay

It is a nice, quiet house in a good location. It is online check-in only, there are no staff around. But the communicate very fast. Room was nice, big enough. I would definitely stay again.

There was no lock on the door. Also a fridge and a safe would be nice.

Nice place and up to date furnishings. However the bath wasn’t working. the mattress was too soft

Location was perfect. Bath didn’t work. Should be blinds or some sheer curtains for extra privacy. Should be able to turn on heated radiator to dry towels. Small refrigerator would be good.

Great stay!

The location is very good. A 15-min bus ride to Victoria Street, 7 mins to Princes Street - very centrical. There is a bus stop a few steps from the building and others half a block away. The bed was super comfy, neighbourhood is very quiet, everything was spotless. Communication with hosts was fantastic - very clear, thorough and straightforward with details & instructions. Thank you so much for a great stay!

Everything was great - just a quick note for future guests to consider: the stairs to rooms in the last floor are narrow compared to the ones to get to the first floor. Watch your step, especially if carrying large/heavy luggage.

We enjoyed Edinburgh.... the apartment was conveniently located, and we made the best of it.

Location; easy to get to; secure

Bathroom was way too small; would have worked better if there was a small fridge and microwave; bed was very small zand there was not much room for bathroom door to open. More amenities might have helped.

Great three days in Edinburgh

The accommodation was very clean, good, quiet location and well signposted. The tea making facilities were comprehensive with a complete range of teas and milk. The toiletries were locally made. We appreciated the host providing recommendations for activities and local eateries

These comments are more suggestions for improvement. We like a personal touch with a meet and greet even though communication via messages was very attentive during our stay. Some potted plants would make the entrance more attractive.

Location was ideal beside some coffee shops in the morning. Local bus routes into city centre.

Bathroom doesn't didn't seem to stayed closed so kept opening during the day and night. One of the plugs didn't work. Needed a big bin in bedroom.

Great stay in Edinburgh

The location, once you figured out where you were in relation to the castle. The staff were very responsive to calls or messages. Our room on the top floor with its own private bathroom was great. A big thank you to the staff who found my wedding ring that I had left behind, contacted me straight away and mailed it to me. 🏆

This upstairs property consists of a small bedroom with a closet and a bathroom.

Communication with the owner was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful, good shower and wonderful bathtub for soaking. Peaceful, quiet neighborhood.

The heating rack in the bathroom didn't work when we needed it and turned on by itself in the middle of the night when we didn't need it. This property is pretty far from the center of Edinburgh and you need to take a bus or an Uber to get to town. It was too far to walk.

Comfortable room but with no breakfast options

Comfortable room with nice decorations and good WiFi for working. It was good to have a kettle, too. Within walking distance of the EICC and city centre.

The fact that the listing said 'superb breakfast' when, in fact, there was no breakfast. This miscommunication (due to change of ownership) meant that I had to spend extra money buying breakfast. So the price became very high per night. Also, no financial compensation was offered by the owner or booking.com.

Location was close to the old town so very convenient

Very low water pressure for shower. Useless wifi that dropped out regularly. Tv not even connected to internet so Netflix simply didn’t work. Very steep dangerous stairs when taking luggage to room.

Adam Drysdale House is very welcome and friendly place to stay. Our room was super cozy and super clean. We had very tasty breakfast every morning and our lovely hosts were very helpful with all questions which we had. We definitely recommend Adam Drysdale House! :)

WAAAAY overpriced for the accomodations

Owners were very nice and welcoming. breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Location is good, not great.

Photos do not accurately depict the room. It was just one room with 3 beds and a tiny bathroom. Hard to even walk in the room when you add luggage. Super expensive for what you get.

The stay was really nice, place is lovely and the hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Everything is great (location, breakfast, rooms (very clean)). I definitely recommend staying here.
