    The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the bed was comfortable. Free parking was also a definite bonus. Unfortunately, the hotel itself felt tired and in need of some updating, both in the rooms and the common areas. The bathroom lighting was very poor, the shower was little more than a trickle, and the toilet flush buttons kept jamming. Overall, I felt the hotel was considerably overpriced for the standard offered, particularly as there were no additional facilities or amenities that you might normally expect to justify a higher room rate. I’ve stayed in Leonardo hotels in London that are considerably cheaper, have spa facilities and are in far better condition. A comfortable bed and friendly staff were positives, but unfortunately the overall experience didn’t represent good value for money.

    We had a pleasant stay at Leonardo Hotel Haymarket. The location is very convenient — just a short walk to Haymarket Station and well connected by both bus and train, making it easy to get around the city. The area is decent, quiet, and accessible, which added to the comfort of our stay. Our room was comfortable and clean, and overall the hotel provided a good base for exploring Edinburgh. The only concern we experienced was during breakfast time. When everyone comes down at the same peak hour, the dining area becomes quite crowded, and the food selection tends to run short. We hope the hotel can improve this by ensuring food is replenished more consistently and by making items that are “available upon request” more accessible and clearly offered to guests. Aside from that, our stay was good, and we appreciate the hotel’s convenient location and overall decent environment. We would consider staying again.
