The Haymarket Hotel

The location was convenient, especially being close to the train station. While the hotel is not in the heart of the main attractions, everything was easily accessible by a short bus ride or taxi. The staff was extremely helpful and even walked us to our building at check-in, which was greatly appreciated. We also appreciated being able to leave our luggage before check-in and store it after check-out until it was time to catch our train. The room was spacious and had plenty of room for our stay.

The stairs to the top floor were quite challenging, especially when carrying luggage, so guests should be prepared for that. There is no air conditioning, which is clearly stated in the listing, but during the summer the room became quite warm and opening the windows did not provide much airflow. Breakfast was good, but the process was a little confusing as it wasn't always clear what items were included and which drinks needed to be ordered separately.

Beautiful hotel! Kind staff. Amazing location. Next to Haymarket station and a bunch of bus stops and tram stops. Had a lot of delicious cafés and supermarkets nearby, so getting food was super easy. The walk to the historic centre is not too long at all. Breakfast was great at a great price too!

Water temperature wouldn’t stay consistent :( it would constantly oscillate so I had to strategically get in the water when it wasn’t too hot or too cold and then move away again.

The triple room was perfect for myself and two friends, in a very convenient location for accessing the centre via a 4 minute train (£2) or 30 minute walk. The shower was nice and beds were comfortable. We were on the top floor.

There were blood stains on my friend's sheet, and we were woken up around 8am both days (Saturday and Sunday) to the same loud door slamming again and again, and the noise of the cleaners dragging a hoover up and down the stairs.
