Friendly staff were able to answer all my questions perfectly.
There was no warning that bar drinks availability was to be reduced. I and another group were surprised that he could not buy spirits and I could not buy red wine but I could buy white wine. A 15min bell would have been useful as I would have bought a bottle.

We appreciated the Location. Just outside of the main hub of the city but able to walk to the Royal Mile in under 30 mins. It had plenty of Parking spaces. The size of hotel and availability was impressive. Clean throughout, apart from a smell in the corridor. Breakfast and set evening meal good price and good selection. Also next to the Modern Galleries 1 & 2.
Not super welcoming, no hi or hello just - ID! We didn't like that we could not pre book breakfast. There was also a smell (like Wee) from the corridor we were on ( floor 3) Room / bathroom was clean but dated / very warn.

checkin and checkout was easy, location is good, hotel is big. breakfast is offered although I didn't have.
car park is limited and is paid, if full, nowhere to park. Rooms are not very comfortable, below Travelodge level, they charge £200 per night during new year and doesn't satisfy the value. window wasn't shut properly, room was cold and heater wasn't enough to heat the whole room.
