The location
Friendly front of house staff
Shower had lots of black mould. Needed another chair to sit on in the room. Member of housekeeping knocked and entered the room at 11am before I even had a chance to say we were still in there!

Excellent location to get the bus for early flight (at airport for 4.15am. I really liked there was a fridge in room so I could hygienically store my supermarket breakfast in it - far too early check out to try the breakfast here. The staff were very friendly and helpful - I was given a room with bath on request. Great to have a kettle and de-caf options - I didn't need to use my own supply! Room was spacious with space to spread everything out. Very easy to move around and looked like it had a decent restaurant (I had booked a favourite though in city centre). I thought the price was reasonable as Edinburgh is usually a ridiculously expensive place to stay (I just stay an odd night for early flights as Glasgow Airport is rubbish for its destination choices so I have to come to Edinburgh). I booked because of price and good reviews. Everything was very clean and safe. I also like humans to welcome you at any time rather than apps and fancy check in arrangements. The 24 hour desk was also an attractive feature.
The only think was it looked more modern from images and star rating that it felt. It was clean and comfortable with everything you needed but the furniture and fittings looked a little drab and "brown" in the room. This is a minor comment - I probably thought it was flasher by name and images than it was. I would stay again as everything was great.

The room was excellent and very spacious, clean, tea/ coffee and water available brilliant. We used the hotel because we were going to show in the. Corn Exchange which was ideal. Hope to see you again. Thanks a million. James Byrne
No complaints about anything.👍

I really liked the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel. The corridors always had a pleasant smell, which shows great care for the environment. The location is also excellent and made it very easy to get around on foot during the stay.
I believe the hotel could offer more flexibility with late check-out, without the need for an extra fee, of course depending on the hotel’s availability.

The location was good.
Issues regarding the whole stay.
Booked a king size room and was downgraded to a queen without any prior knowledge or information only on check-out was I informed of this. The staff did offer to refund the difference between the rooms, however this did not help.
Within the room, very uneven floor outside the bathroom like the wood had been warped. Not just a small area but a good metre squared. Very uncomfortable to walk on and dangerous.
The bathroom sink did not drain water. When the plug was open the water still refused to dissappear. Could not run the tap for long as the sink would overflow. The tap also leaked and constantly dripped. The light within the bathroom also flickered.
The television also went completely yellow at times when watching.
The tablet provided within the room to use as a control for the room also did not charge correctly rendering this completely useless. The one opportunity to use this tablet also seen that it wasn't collaborated correctly and changed the television to incorrect channels.
On arrival at check-in was advised systems were down and would be 10 minutes wait. This was ok as things happen. 15 minutes passed and was asked to come back to check-in again only to be told that the system was still down and would be a little longer. Was given a drinks voucher for 2 free drinks at the bar, only to be told at the bar its only certain drinks and had to pay for a spirit and mixer. Leaving one free drink for later. After arriving back at the hotel around 10pm I was informed the bar was closed and I could not receive the free drink.
Issues were reported to reception on the day but no solution was looked at except the offer of a free breakfast. This didn't help with the issues within the room.
Overall I was less than impressed with overall quality of my stay.

Good location, comfy bed
Showers were revolting. Windows very mouldy and floor coming apart. The smell of strong aftershave in the main areas were also very over powering. Lighting was very bad in rooms too

Location very handy for Haymarket and the West End of Edinburgh
Bathroom really unclean with lots of stains and dirt, refused to provide receipt on leaving, odd smell in room. In general hotel felt unclean and staff were very unhelpful upon leaving (property subsequently provided receipt by email when I pointed out that is what Booking.com say will happen.

We arrived very late, so were appreciative of the warm, quiet room with a comfortable bed. We also only got down for the end of breakfast, but there was still a very good selection of hot and cold food. Obviously due to the time of year we got a very good deal, so for us it was excellent value.

Location perfect for the Rugby at Murrayfeild, breakfast was excellent and good value for money, Room was clean and comfortable, only issue was lack of natural lighting, but our room was on the forth floor which has small windows in the roof space, but otherwise everything was good
Restaurant was a bit limited if like me you don't like pizza

Great location - easy to get to from airport on tram and short walk in to city centre. Fantastic breakfast - cooked options were particularly tasty. Nice staff. Comfy bed.
Quite dark in room - one small window and limited lighting. Good space to hang clothes but only small drawer for additional storage.

Location is close to the train station for seeing other places and within walking distance of everything in Edinburgh . Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area
I didn't have any complaints

We loved the location, very handy when travelling from the airport as the bus stop is about 200 meters away. The staff was very polite and nice. Breakfast was great, good choice of everything and they kept adding fresh juice and coffee. The room was clean, meaning what the cleaning staff could've clean - they did.
There was a mold in corner of a bathtub and clear rust in drainage ditch in wash basin. Again, this isn't cleaning staff fault - they just need to ugprade the utilities. The biggest problem by far, and why I gave it 7/10 is the room location. Rooms 101, 102 are nightmare is you want to sleep past 7am - they are right next the cleaning staff room and they are not sound proof (very far from that, in fact). Constant door banging, and also as your own doors keep jumping in and out. Chatter of the staff as if they are in the room with you. You hear as they put water in their cleaning buckets, it goes straight to the rooms pipes. Of course, no one is probably in the hotel to sleep all day but then again, 7am.

Nice interiors, nice staff, & nice rooms
The bathroom had broken shower appliances, the tap for the hot water for the bath was broken, the plunger stop was broken.
Overall the bathroom was nice but a bit shabby, and not in a great state for price charged or rating they command.
Could not run a bath or drain it without calling reception, which is not idel.
6.0 / 10.0
Location convenient to train and tram
Comfortable beds
Lights didn’t work next to beds
No biscuits like EVERY other hotel had
Dangerous tub was too high and very slippery and without anything to hold on to
9.0 / 10.0
Fantastic location- approximately 20 min walk from all the main attractions, and countless options for transport at your doorstep.
The breakfast had everything you would expect: filtered coffee, scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms, hash browns, toast, fruit, yogurt, granola, and pastries. Really good value for money considering that having breakfast outside would cost you more and you’d eat less.
Room is huge and there’s air conditioning and extra towels
Toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided, aside from hairdryer, iron, etc
Staff were fantastic and super friendly throughout
My room was 103, which is right next to the staff room. Not ideal if you are looking for some peace and quiet or just to have a nap after lunch as you can hear doors banging and people shouting in the corridor, especially when the rooms are being cleaned or when it’s next to check out times.
Another thing was the channel options: we were limited to th channels and no option to stream our netflix or prime video accounts.
The fan in my bathroom wasn’t working, so all the steam was there for quite some time after showers.
