Warning ⚠️ this is not a 3 star hotel

Nothing this place isn't a 3 star at all is all dated the pictures they have up are not what it looks like now. For the price we paid wasn't worth it

Very cold

The location was excellent along with the free parking the staff were very friendly and I think trying to do the best job that they could. The breakfast was good and basic.

The room was very cold upon arrival and I think that when the heating came on it was for a very limited period of time in the evening and in the morning I’m so grateful that we packed our hot water bottles because it really was quite cold. The water system didn’t seem to work very well and once the toilet had emptied or you had the tap on then the water supply seemed to stop. We use the shower and again the water was very cold. when packing our bags to leave and searching the room for anything that we left behind we came across a half opened box of Pringles under the sofa bed I would say that the cleaning on first sight was okay but again I think the hotel is trying to do the best it can with very little resources. would we stay here again? The answer is no.

Very good value for the money we paid. Cheap enough accommodation on a rugby match day & very close to Murrayfield. Hotel was clean and had everything you could've needed for a night's stay

The beds were rather squeaky, but very comfortable so didn't mind too much. We had a room with a shared bathroom which was strange however there were 3 bathrooms to share and all were clean and fully stocked

Cheap and cheerful

Location was good just £3 on bus in to city runs 24h Hotel very run down but clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is not fantastic but you can have more if you like. I would say its a 2 star hotel. But as its cheap and clean we go back every year. We don't spend time there only to sleep. I think this is a good place but you need to know what you are booking.

There was no hot water to wash with in the mornings. The room needed a good hoover as there was hair from previous guests when we walked down side of bed. The tap water in room we was told was not drinkable as it can out of a tank in the loft but wasn’t provided with any to drink. I wasn’t keen for hygiene reasons to use the toiletries they provided as stated in discrimination as when we got there they were big bottles that had been used by others. Tea cups were dirty in the room and the tv didn’t work. There was no bar to get just a drink even though it stated bar and had prices on the bar.

I'm surprised this very old house is even on your site.

Bedroom window didn't lock or operate properly. Bedroom light was hanging off the ceiling. Shower water pressure non existent. Shower door had to be held shut why you showered. Breakfast juice was squash not juice. Croissants were stale. Bedroom door did not appear to be a fire rated door.

I just needed somewhere to stay overnight to catch my flight out of Edinburgh. The property is right on the bus line and easy to get to the airport. The staff was very nice and welcoming.

It’s very basic. A little rundown, and a little noisy. If I had wanted more, I would have stayed somewhere else and paid more. So I really don’t have any complaints.

recommend for one night stay

Location is very good - walking distance to tram station and stadium. Very welcoming host, friendly and helpful. We had to leave early in the morning - he packed us breakfast, was very kind of him. Tea, coffee in the room.

Decor is a little bit tired, and one of the beds was held up with bricks! No hot water left after 1 shower. Can't really complain for the price though, we were all comfortable enough and had a good sleep. Perfectly acceptable for 1 night.

It was cosy, seemed like a family business, staff was very nice and the beds were comfy.

The room was overall clean, but due to havinga carpet. The floor could have been more clean as I found a pair of dried contact lenses on the floor. The shower door didn't close when having a shower,and as it was a bit small, it reduced the space of the shower. The check out time at 10 it was a bit early for us, we arrived at 19 pm so we expected this to be a bit later. However, we didnt ask for any other time to check out.
