Located on main bus route so easy to get into and back from the city centre

Corridors looking a little tired. Rooms, bar and dining area etc were great.

Liked that it was removed from the hordes of tourists, and that there was great bus service. We faced the street, and it was a lovely view. The staff was pleasant and helpful with directions, etc.

The bathroom was extremely small. One had to negotiate around the sink to close the door, and the first day I literally broke my little toe trying to close the door. Also woodwork was rotting above the floorboards. Also having to climb all those steps every day just to get inside was a pain. Our floor (3rd) smelled like a curry restaurant. The restaurant had a feature drinks menu on the table— the very top item some type of mojito, which we ordered, only to be told that you didn’t have Rum. Why advertise something if you don’t have it? It was our very first impression of the restaurant/bar. The hotel is very isolated, not even a little convenience store nearby, and only a (luckily, very good) Chinese restaurant across the street.

The restaurant was good, food good and service good

There was no drinking water in the room, the phone was not working and in spite of mentioning it to the staff, it was not sorted. Suffered from bad ghay fever and called the reception after 10:30 pm to be told they had no medication and we had to sort it out.
