Very poor. Looks like a bombing site. I can believe you allowed such a slump be advertised as a habitable place. The owner was very rude and there was a gang hanging round.
I booked for a night but I didn't even bother to sleep in there and I wouldn't let my dog do so.

Location a tad far from city centre

In a great location and incredibly cosy. The owner is a legend, so friendly and keen to help out.
Kitchen didn’t have any cleaning supplies, but that’s an easy fix.

Small house but cozy
Not greatly cleaned but manageable

I loved the fact that it had a kitchen and I was able to make something when I wanted.

Very clean, large kitchen, and the beds were comfortable. Had a very laid-back family-type atmosphere with a happy, friendly guy running it. It's about a half hour's bus ride from the city centre with bus stops right outside.
This is not a typical travellers' hostel, with young tourists coming and going etc. It's more of an old-fashioned dosshouse with only three other people staying there, which is actually okay if you just want somewhere to spend a night or two with no fuss. Like I say it was very clean and I was made to feel very welcome.

The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’ll need for cooking and space in fridge to put your food
Squeaky beds and duvet cover didn’t fit on duvet properly

Really friendly and helpful staff, facilities were great (kitchen, shower, etc.). Beds nice and comfy. Location is fairly far from the city centre, but there is a bus stop directly outside the hostel so easy to access at all times (even late at night).

It's a great way to meet new people, great value for money, 2 shared bathrooms and a shared kitchen, roof top seating and a pub and takeaways literally 1 minute for the place and free parking
While walking around I think it is a slightly rough area

The location was nice, but that was the only good thing about this hostel.
There were no wardrobes in the room, and below the hostel there was a bar where music played until the morning. Until around 5 a.m., people were still talking loudly, and everything could be heard. The price reflected it – the weakest hostel in Edinburgh.

The host communicated properly in advance my accommodation and was waiting for me. The room was very quiet. There is a large kitchen with all necessary equipment. The location is perfect - close to the Airport and the owner arranged for me a parking lot behind - very convenient. The bathroom was clean and very convenient as well - attached to the bedroom. I could relax very good.

It has everything you need such as towels, cookers, hair dryer etc. Transport is convenient to both Heriot-Watt University and city center. Several big supermarkets are within walking distance as well as a 24h convenient store. The kebab shop (Mr Shawarma) on the other side of the street is superb. The toilet and kitchen are quite clean and WiFi is good.
Sometimes the loud music from the pub downstairs would last until midnight. But it didn’t bother me too much bc I was very tired. Also it only happened for 2 nights out of my 6 nights stay.
The door and the bed were a bit squeaky. Luckily my roommates were very nice and kept the noise at minimum.

Beds were very comfy
Perhaps having an ear plug dispenser for those guests who snore. Also there’s didn’t seem to be any normal instant coffee just decaf.

Very good place to stay. We booked last minute and were very happy with the room/facilities. Parking is available for free and owner is lovely!! Uber into city centre is not expensive either and 10 minute drive from airport.

Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in.
Share beds with strangers, 2 bathrooms for everyone to use, doesn’t match the description

It was a safe place to keep my things and room didn’t feel over crowded when full. Many bathrooms for use so that was really convenient! Many towels and bathmats available so I didn’t feel like I had to keep using the same ones/ I knew they’d always be clean.
Can’t think of any negatives.

Spot on for what we needed fresh off the plane comfy bed and facilities nailed it
Maybe just chuck a sign out the front. We got saved by the blokes at the pub

Clean, comfortable and nice staff - perfect for a short stay (we were there just one night).
Location was a bit far, but there's a bus directly to Princes St. The hostel is above a pub so can be a bit loud. To get to the entrance it's behind the pub and up the stairs - it was a bit unnerving arriving at night, I was glad I wasn't alone.

Staff is nice
- Mold on the wall
- Lots of noises from downstairs (no, it doesn't say anything about it on the description). There is a bar.
- Overpriced for what it offers

Student and the lady took best care of my daughter until she could find her own place. Lovely lady and very hospitable.
5.0 / 10.0
It's a good place to meet other people and make friends. And the staff is nice.
It's overpriced for what it is. And the bed are not stable if you're staying in the upper bed. No change of the bedsheets and no room cleaning during my five days there.
