Quiet in the room, amazing double bed with curtain for privacy.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and worked properly. The pod bed was super comfortable with an effective curtain to provide privacy. I also liked the small outdoor area at the back of the property.
I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

The staff were great, they were all so friendly and helpful. Lukas went above and beyond and also let me check in early and provided a room upgrade, which was so kind. The bed was very comfortable and warm with sockets for charging electronics, a light, and a curtain for privacy. There were lockers in the room and a clean bathroom. Lukas also provided access to an additional bathroom and shower room. The hostel was in a good location with convenient transport links to the centre. I will definitely be staying again when I return to Edinburgh! Thank you Revolver Edinburgh for a great stay. 😊

Enjoyed how peaceful and quiet it was, and its location.
The lights in the toilets kept going out and the sensors were not reliable

This wasn't the hotels fault or maybe it was ,but I was allocated room 8 ,bed a ,whuch was a triple bunk, the fire alarm went off and I was half asleep, lost my glasses ;started to go down the triple bunk ,they were metal steps with no slip on them ,i had socks on and couldnt find the steps down and slipped because I couldn't locate the footing and slipped 3feet on my back to which I fractured the base of my spine

This is a great accommodation. It is very reasonable priced and found in a great location- perfect walking distance from all the main attractions. The staff were amazing and very accommodating they helped us with everything and gave us some lovely recommendations and were always around if you needed them. Would definitely recommend staying here when coming to Edinburgh. Would definitely return

The room itself was under renovation. Unusable lockers and extremely small bunk spaces with very little clearance between the mattress and the next bunk. The room itself was crowded and very pricey 37£ for meagre conditions. The main issue however was the lack of water due to a plumbing issue for the entirety of my stay making it imposible to wash, shower or toilet. I approached the staff about this issue, requested a partial refund, but they claimed they couldn't do anything for me. Really a shame that guest satisfaction was not taken seriously. With so many other hostel options in Edinburgh, I cannot recommend this establishment.

we walked in and decided NOT to stay conditions were unacceptable...
GARBAGE garbage was piled high in front of the building - it was depressing and looked like a slum. :(
lots of construction going on in the building - very noisy and dusty with hammers and saws buzzing- dust was everywhere from the construction, bags of garbage piled everywhere. there was NO parking nearby. . the front desk was extremely nice very nice and friendly,

Quiet street. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. Large kitchen area.
Manager was very helpful. Gave a great recommendation to get a good, well priced hot breakfast. Offered me an umbrella to use to go out.
Nothing really. Someone was using the bed I had been allocated, but I was able to get another easily.

BED BUGS INFESTATION. STAY AWAY.
I stayed at this hostel for one night on November 7th, 2025. My experience was terrible overall, starting with no bed being available in my assigned room and other unpleasant and inconvenient issues, which I would have tolerated under different circumstances. But something completely unacceptable happened, and it's my duty to warn others. When I finally settled into my second bed, I was awakened by bed bugs biting me. I turned on the light and saw that the bed and all surrounding surfaces (the "walls" of my "pod") were full of bed bugs. I am attaching just a few of the many pictures I took. It was truly horrifying. Given the number of bed bugs I saw, they must have been breeding there for months. I strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs, as there’s no guarantee they treated it properly. What’s more disappointing is that the hotel refused to compensate me (besides refunding my one-night stay and offering another free night in the dorm - haha - I wouldn't return even if they paid me). I had to change my travel plans, dry clean my clothes, and treat all my belongings to prevent bringing bed bugs to my next destination. This was very costly, and their refusal to cover these expenses is simply disgraceful. Please do yourself a favor and never stay at this place.

Staff, ability to store luggage during the day at own risk, showers, nothing is broken or out of use, kitchen is clean and usable, location just a short walk away. The bar area/sitting room was nice with ability to charge phones and watch tv. Very friendly staff.
The triple story bunk beds require strength to reach the top bunk. It is very crammed. The air is stuffy and there is always noise throughout the night because of the volume of people (up to 16 people per room). One lady was very messy and had all her belongings piled up around her bed as if she was living there. The renovations or the place are probably a good thing however the renovations are lying all over. One door was being stored in the toilet cubicle. No toilet brush in some cubicles. The biggest issue personally was not being able to get changed or open my suitcase except for in the bathrooms. Overall it was ok.

Nothing, there were bugs everywhere on our bed. We checked out in the first 30 mins after our check in. We spent £400 to move ourselves into a new hotel.
This place is unsafe for anyone to live here even if it’s for free.
This place is unsafe, nothing to like here.

The concept of the place is interesting, and the staff were very friendly, especially Łukasz, who was exceptionally kind and helpful. Once the renovation is finished, I can see a lot of potential here, especially for this price.
The place still has many issues. The bathrooms weren’t cleaned the entire weekend, there was often no toilet paper, and there’s nowhere to keep your things in the bathroom. There are no lockers, and overall cleanliness felt questionable, even the bedding didn’t seem fully clean. Unfortunately, we were also bitten by bedbugs during our stay.

I was very satisfied with my stay. I stayed in a 4-bed room and it was very spacious and had locker space under the bunk beds for a carryon size bag but not a checked size bag. The beds were comfortable and had curtains for privacy. The rooms were clean along with the bathroom facilities. The interior is very colorful and welcoming along with the staff.
Not too much to complain about. The only thing is that there is only one shower per floor but at least two toilets per floor. It wasn't a problem for me but there is only stairs no elevator.

The price is unbeatable - the cheapest accommodation I could find in Edinburgh. The dormitories are clean.
The bunk beds are very small and flimsy (it looks like they are made for children not for adults), so you should not be too tall/big and they wobble quite a lot when the person below/above you is moving in their bed. There's just one shower and one toilet for a dormitory of 10 people and these are in an "en-suite" bathroom without a door which means the whole dormitory gets the light and the noise whenever someone uses the bathroom. In addition, the hostel was undergoing renovation when I went (I was not advised) and the kicthen/lounge areas were not folly available to guests.

The service from the staff was excellent. The guy who worked most of the time during my stay was very friendly and always provided me with all the information I needed. I also had a good experience with the guy who was there on Sunday during my check-out. No complaints at all! + The hostel has a kitchen so you can cook, and it's very clean
I want to be honest about my experience. I didn’t really enjoy my stay, maybe because the hostel was under renovation. The dorms were quite uncomfortable, and having 3-bed bunk beds made it even more challenging. If you end up in the middle bunk, it’s very hard to climb up or even sit down comfortably. There was also no hot water during the two days I stayed, which I understand was due to the renovation. Additionally, there were no lockers in the rooms, which made it a bit inconvenient.

Good location. Man at receoption desk at night was friendly. Large towels.
We arrived at 11 p.m. and our bed wasn't ready. The photos are outdated: the whole place is being refurbed and there was no indication when we booked that we'd be staying in a construction site. There is a £3 charge for towels. Room lacked basic facilities: no lockers or secure storage, or storage of any kind. No mirror anywhere in the bathroom or the room itself, and exposed wires hanging out of holes in the wall. Only a single towel hook in the bathroom for a room with 4 double beds. No shelves or tables in the rooms, so everyone's stuff is just dumped everywhere on the floor. The walls are paper thin, so you hear everything coming from the attached bathroom. No bath mat for the (filthy) floor in the (tiny) bathroom, so water from the shower leaked everywhere. Mattress is way too soft. Guy at reception in the morning is rude. The 10 a.m. checkout time is ridiculous. Worst sleep of my life. Avoid this place at all costs.

The staff were lovely
The photos are out of date. I specifically booked this hostel as the photos showed that there were lockers in the room. The only lockers available are dusty, tiny lockers, maybe just big enough for a purse, downstairs into the kitchen which you only have access to till 11pm.

When we went in our beds hadn't been made up and were filled with other people's belongings, the room stank of BO and just general unclean. We had the mixed dorm option as it was all we could find available and were desperate but walking in on couples cuddled up on the beds made us seriously wonder what was going on when we were all asleep - that and the fact the doors didn't actually seem to lock? As three young girls the environment was very unsettling.

Staff was nice and friendly
The bathroom and toilets were in absolute terrible condition. There were only 2 toilets and 3 showers for 2 rooms of 12 people each so had to go to bathroom on different floor because of queues. In one of bathrooms was no water.

Location
The bathroom shower didn’t have a way to lock it while showering. It had boxes since they’re under renovation. The wifi didn’t work on the 2nd floor

Great place, Lucas was very helpful and nice! Made a good first impression to the city.
I did not like the bathroom inside of the room, I did not feel comfortable to take a shower as it could wake up the other guests, also if we are at the kitchen and we wanted to use the restroom, the female available was only the one inside the room, on the 3rd floor, 4 staircases up.

It was a really enjoyable stay, nice location for my visit but if you want in the centre its a 10 min walk to the trams which was ok for me. Lots of places to eat and drink in the area and easy transport within the vicinity
3.0 / 10.0
The location.
The room I stayed in was apparently not completed yet. That‘s the only way I can explain why there was no door for the bathroom area so that light and the sounds from water kept everybody awake, if one of the 12 girls brushed their teeth etc. Furthermore, the door for the shower couldn‘t be locked, there were boxes for bathroom equipment stored next to out shower and there were cables in the walls everywhere in the bathroom. This room shouldn‘t be rented out.
Unfortunately, the guy who checked me in was very unfriendly and seemed to be very unhappy to do his job, very bad service when working on hospitality.

Clean and comfortable bed
Breakfast was sufficient enough with polite and attentive staff
18 beds in one room meant that it was quite a noisy stay with people in and out constantly.
Not enough showers/toilets for the amount of people staying

Easily access to the city centre from the property. All rooms had a keycard entry which was good for keeping belongings safe. Nice little cafe/bar area downstairs, with comfortable seating. Staff at the hostel were extremely friendly and hospitable

Location is good. It’s not in the Old Town but very easy to get to. Close to centre. Good transport links. Friendly staff.
The cleaning could do with improvement. In the 3 nights I was there I didn’t see anyone had cleaned the bathroom. The shower drain was clogged with hair that I cleaned myself so the water would drain away. Rubbish was removed but that was the extent of the cleaning.
The room was very hot & one small fan did nothing to make it more comfortable for sleep.
The mattress was old and very uncomfortable. Bunks were 3 high and very little head space between the beds so it made sitting up awkward trying not to bang my head. Being metal framing you felt when someone moved in the bunks above.
Also too many beds in the room (10) and only 1 shower and 1 toilet. It meant there was a queue for the bathroom in the mornings.
8.0 / 10.0
Location just outside of busy area was nice. Cubby idea of the bunks was nice.
Wifi pretty poor. Could use better ventilation in the rooms and curtains for bunks.

Relatively close to the city centre, quiet neighbourhood and close to the airlink bus station, the hostel is clean, there is no problem with leaving the bags before the check-in, really friendly service. Generally, a good option for one short night.
The room was very hot, the cables in the bathroom were sticking out of walls. The bunk beds are very low (three in a row), you can't really sit on it, and the room is really small for 9 people. There's no space to keep your stuff, there are literally ZERO shelves. Especially the bathroom could use some.

The rooms were absolutely amazing. Just done up so very new and clean
